Stairway to Heaven

This is a nice home with a rather unique layout and a very steep and scary one-lane gravel road to access it. The view is awesome once there and the furnishings are great (although there are almost no teaspoons). Not sure we would go again given the remote location and difficult access.

The house is located in a great place. 4-wheel drive accessible and close proximity to great attractions. You're not in the middle of the city so there is some driving to do but the scenery is amazing.

My fiancé and I wanted to unplug from city life and this was perfect. The scenery was beautiful and secluded. The house was well furnished and clean, little touches like an unopened sponge seem trivial, but after staying in some other Airbnb's it’s so thoughtful. The game room was a plus we didn’t play a lot, but our 2-year-old had fun trying to learn how to foosball, and being able to relax in the hot tub with breathtaking views was everything.

Five high school friends, getting back together for the first time in 28 years, couldn't have found a better spot. The cabin was exactly as described. Fire pit, jacuzzi, views, etc. They weren't kidding about the gravel road to the cabin needed 4WD. Couldn't recommend it more!

Had a wonderful long weekend with the family. It is quite remote on a long winding gravel road. A 4 wheel drive is highly recommended. A beautiful view of the mountains and able to see chimney rock with the binoculars! Downstairs rec room is perfect for social evenings with the family.

Beautiful cabin with amazing views. You truly do feel close to heaven. The drive up/down the mountain was a little scary for this Georgian but worth it. Chimney Rock is a beautiful quaint little town. We loved the Burntshirt Winery. Lord willing we shall return soon!

"Amazing stay at this uber charming cabin! First I want to say: They were NOT joking when they highly recommended 4WD - the trek up is all dirt/gravel roads, and if it had been raining our truck would not have made it up. However it is definitely worth it for the view and how comfortable the cabin was. Well stocked with kitchen and bathroom necessities. Very comfortable beds. Love that it was pet friendly - they even provided a portable doggy dish and leash if you forgot one to take your pup on a hike! All of the guests had nothing but good things to say about this place and we’ll likely be back again!"

This was such a relaxing place. The view is amazing! Even though it rained we could still relax outside in the hot tub. At night we sat outside on the giant balcony and looked at the stars and then enjoyed all the games in the game room. Sleeping arrangements were plentiful and well spaced. Bring firewood and coffee!😃

We really had a wonderful time at stairway to heaven. It is a little ways from either Hendersonville or Asheville. And they are serious about four whee drive. It is a necessity. But the property is perfect the view is amazing. You will leave there refreshed.

An amazing time at such a beautiful location. The views were amazing and the home was gorgeous and very well kept. The approach to the home was even more exciting and really set the tone for the vacation. Very spacious and it gives you the real mountain log cabin experience. Just far enough away from civilization offering a peaceful and serene time but close enough to run out and grab anything that you may need from the local Food Lion and other convenient retail stores. And a short and exhilarating drive to Biltmore. We will be renting this home again and again for our yearly Thanksgiving vacation!

"We stayed at Stairway to Heaven and it was the perfect place for our family of five. The views off the back of the house were some of the best I've seen in this part of the state. The wrap around deck with hammock, outdoor hot tub, and fire pit were great. The house has lots of open floor space with a balcony overlooking the great room. There's a large game room downstairs with a pool table, foosball, and more. The kitchen is up to date with an impressive amount of supplies for all of your cooking and baking needs. While the house is secluded, it's only minutes to great hiking and outdoor adventures!"

"We stayed at Stairway to Heaven near Bat Cave and it was as perfect as a vacation can get. The house is even more impressive in person with an open floor plan and large balcony. There was plenty of room for two families of four. The kitchen and game rooms are well stocked and the hot tub and fire pit were great. The views are spectacular and we were privileged enough to be there for the Perseid. The balcony was the perfect viewing spot for the meteor show. While the home is secluded, it is a beautiful drive to the area towns and cities and we enjoyed daily adventures."

"Spent a relaxing weekend at the ""Stairway to Heaven"" house. Beautiful log house - perched near the top of the mountain overlooking the most beautiful view. Sunrise view is as good as it gets. Warm sunshine on the generous deck until early afternoon. House is clean, bed was good. Great kitchen with good working area. Good water pressure with unlimited hot water. Looking forward to going back when it is chilly enough to try out the beautiful fireplace."

Fantastic house! We loved the decor and the views off the deck are stunning!! If you are looking for a cozy place to escape to this is the place to go- so peaceful! The bedrooms are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked and has very nice appliances. We had a great time cooking for a large group - there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy hanging out and watching food being prepared. Make sure you bring your comfortable shoes for walking/hiking ! We will be back for sure!
