This beautiful home was the perfect setting for such a special family trip! We were all together celebrating my birthday, and my oldest daughter even got engaged on Craggy Mountain, which made the week unforgettable. We saw bears, went whitewater rafting, made s’mores around the fire pit, relaxed in the hot tub, and enjoyed some of the most beautiful mountain views imaginable.The home itself is lovely—so beautifully decorated, comfortable, and cozy. We loved that it felt peaceful and remote, tucked away in the mountains, yet we were less than 10 minutes from town and everything we needed.We made so many wonderful family memories here and truly hated to leave. We would absolutely stay here every time we visit the area. A very special place and a trip we’ll never forget!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property, especially since we chose it for my parents' 70th wedding anniversary celebration. This was actually my second time renting here: I'd hoped to come the first time, but my father's accident prevented me from traveling, so my sister, niece, and daughter stayed without me and enjoyed it so much they encouraged me to come back. I'm very glad we did. The house was comfortable, spacious, and a wonderful place for our family to spend time together. A few areas could use some additional cleaning and maintenance, but overall, we had a very positive experience and would consider staying here again.

We absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely be back for future trips. In late July, it was a perfect spot to enjoy fresh mountain breezes and beautiful sunsets. The location is peaceful and quiet, the house clean and cozy, and our stay felt like a true retreat from an otherwise hot and busy summer. Our family loved our time here and enjoyed easy access to downtown Asheville and all of our restaurants and businesses nearby on Merrimon Avenue. We've stayed at quite a few different Airbnbs in Asheville and this is our favorite by far. We recommend it to anyone looking for a restorative place to relax while also enjoying easy access to all the best that Asheville has to offer.

We LOVED our stay in this home. It was so close to downtown but far enough that we felt like we were away in the mountains. The hosts were very communicative and called beforehand to make sure all of our paperwork was in order. I forgot my pillow when we left and they even called to see if I was close enough to come back and get, which I was so thankful for. We saw bears every day while we were visiting. The kitchen was excellently stocked and we made full breakfasts every day. I absolutely will be coming back!!! Thank you so much for a beautiful stay.

This house is even more beautiful and inviting than the pictures show! It has an excellent location - about 10 minutes from downtown - and is secluded enough without being too out there in the sticks. The drive up the mountain to the house is easy with no insanely steep inclines or sheer drop-offs. The furnishings are extremely comfortable, with plenty of places to tuck away and relax; and the kitchen has everything you would need and then some. The views and landscaping are stunning, and the pictures here do not do it justice; we particularly enjoyed the view after it rained - you really get to see why it is called "Misty Mountain". This home would be perfect for a mini-family reunion or get-together. We would definitely stay there again!

This is a lovely house in a stunning location. The views are amazing – I can only imagine it with fall colors! There is so much outdoor space to enjoy whether the dining table on the deck from which we watched the sunsets or the extensive seating (and hot tub) downstairs. The quiet is so wonderful with just the bird song to hear in the morning. The house itself is very comfortable with an excellent master suite upstairs (an amazing closet and wonderful bath) and a choice of more rooms downstairs. There is so much excellent dining in Asheville that we did not use the kitchen to cook but it looked very well stocked to do so. Looking at the location, one would think that the house is a bit remote but it was just a few minutes to get to the main downtown area and the drive is beautiful and easy. All instructions we received from the host were impeccable and we had no problems with directions or access. We certainly hope for another stay in this beautiful home.

House was just as described and just like the pictures. Perfectly located where you felt far up in the mountains yet only 10 minutes from the city. We saw bears nearby so be careful driving! Beds were comfortable. All of the kitchen essentials were there. Overall a great stay and I would highly recommend!

Everything about this stay was wonderful. Exceeded all of or expectations. This house is decorated very nicely and the views of the mountains are beautiful. Perched high upon the side of the mountain and accessed by a winding country road. Minutes to Biltmore (which is awesome) and downtown Asheville, yet tucked away in a private serene setting.

The property had a great access road up the mountain and had very pretty views enjoyed from both the top and bottom floors. The cabin is very close to a neighboring cabin, but that was not an issue for us as it is a quiet area. The indoor electric fireplace was nice with blankets nearby to use while relaxing. The outdoor firepit and hot tub were highlights. The property was very clean. The view was gorgeous from the picture windows in the upper floor main living area as well as the Master bedroom. It was nice to wake up to the stunning landscape! The issues were the towels (small, scratchy, and no extras for hot tub use). Also, it would have been nice to have been able to use the grill, but there wasn't even a tank! All in all, it is a beautiful cabin and well maintained!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay! The home is easy to find and 10 min from downtown Asheville. We stayed in the winter so we could see neighbors but never heard them or saw them. The house had a great set up and everyone had enough space to spread out. The hot tub and firepit were great and perfect for a crisp night. A wonderful home and a great vacation!

Beautiful home very updated. Reasonably close to town but feels very private. The hot tub and fire pit are wonderful. The views are amazing. The beds are extremely comfortable and the linens luxurious.

We had such a great time in Asheville! This house is so pretty and comfortable. We settled right in and enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountains. We used the hot tub and firepit in the evening and barbequed dinner one evening. We toured the Biltmore and winery. Absolutely beautiful!

This home is absolutely beautiful. It is decorated well and is in a very scenic location. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit too. Its master bedroom is spacious and has a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi. It has every detail you can think of and isn’t missing a thing. The Decor is tasteful and gives you a country feel. We drove in from New Jersey for this vacation home and it was worth it. Would love to come here again.

From the minute we stepped foot into the home we could feel the warmth and care that the owners had put into this property. We have rented many vacation homes and this one was by far the most comfortable and inviting. The house is beautifully furnished, and all the beds and couches are very comfortable. The views of the mountains were especially nice to gaze at while having coffee and dinner. We really loved the location of the home as it was close to all of the outings we had scheduled. ATV riding, river rafting, the Biltmore, and hiking were all nearby. The downtown activities and restaurants we visited are also closer than what we were used to driving to at home. We also enjoyed soaking in the hit tub after a day of hiking and seeing all the wildlife that Ashville offers. We highly recommend this property if you are looking in the Ashville area. We will be returning soon!

This is an absolutely beautiful location. The views from the living room, deck, and porch are incredible. It's close enough to Asheville to be extremely convenient, yet far enough to feel like an isolated escape. Asheville itself was a treat as well. The house is wonderfully decorated and immaculate. I would say that the listing is accurate except to add that it does not do the house and location justice. A wonderful stay. Thanks for having us.

Misty Mountain was the perfect getaway for our family! Every detail in the home has been thought of, making it feel like home. The setup of the home was comfortable for us because there is one bedroom upstairs and the other three are downstairs. The kids had space, including a separate living area. The bedding was very comfortable, kitchen has everything you need (and then some!), and there were perfect touches like books to check out. We didn’t get a chance to grill but the deck was a very nice size and has a grill. The location was perfect too. The home is far enough up the mountain to make the view incredible, but close enough that you can run an errand or go into Asheville in just a few minutes. We went into Asheville, hiked in Montreat, went to downtown Black Mountain and explored north Asheville during our stay. The outdoor area was nice for a campfire too! Recommendations: check out Vinnie’s Italian for dinner, Greybeard Trail and Huckleberry cafe in Montreat for coffee after your hike! Misty Mountain is a wonderful getaway that truly has it all: it’s like “home”, close to the city, close to hiking, and very relaxing. Highly recommend!!

Stunning Home over looking Asheville, so close to downtown. While you’re sitting on the beautiful patio, you have amazing views, makes you feel like you’re in the most special place in the world. There is a cozy stone fireplace to sit around while your talking with your family inside and outside, Absolutely amazing place to visit and spend your vacation with your family.

Spent a few days here to relax/unwind and it was perfect. So quiet, with spectacular views. When you’re there you feel away from it all, but are still close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. We had everything we needed and had a great time. Our one regret was not spending more time in the hot tub!

Had a quick getaway to Asheville and stayed in this cozy abode. Location was excellent, as it’s just minutes from downtown and the drive is easy. There’s a pretty epic fireplace downstairs that I enjoyed reading by, but what I think might have topped that, were the heated air vents in the restrooms lol!? All around great time had and will 100% stay here again next time.

Spectacular vacation stay! With a view over looking the town, you are no more than 10 minutes away from downtown Asheville. Besides the location, the home was very cozy. Furnished with all the appliances needed for a great vacation. 10/10 would stay again!

Beautiful house and great location. Isolated, but only a short drive to downtown. Unfortunately the hot tub was broken and it never got fixed during the stay, despite management's assurance it would. Despite that, host was responsive and offered up Biltmore Estate tickets.
