Skylight Condo

Awesome stay. Was central to almost everything we needed and made walking a breeze. The house was clean and had everything we needed. I’d stay there again! Only thing to be aware of. Parking, you’ll have to typically use a garage ($15 if you 24 hour, not awful) and outside this Airbnb was quite a few homeless people. They were harmless and kept to themselves and the home felt safe, but just keep in mind if this is something that would bother you.

This was a beautiful spot for my family and I to stay from the bedrooms, amazing showers to the perfect location. Owners had great instructions and were very communicative. I’d recommend this spot!!!

Condo was exactly as described. Great location - very walkable to highly rated restaurants. Street parking or garage right across the street. Kitchen was well stocked. Elevator access worked well. Check in was smooth. Would highly recommend.

Great location with easy access to local attractions and downtown nightlife. As expected for a downtown stay, there can be some noise at night, but it didn’t bother us. The space is very spacious with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay overall. The rugs could use a deep cleaning, but everything else was well maintained and met our needs.

This place was perfect for us. It was just as pictured. Very comfortable beds and super clean. We have two small children so we loved that this was one story and very safe for kids to run around. It was also a great location for exploring downtown. The parking was right across the street and not difficult.

The space was great and we really enjoyed our stay. The only negatives were the WiFi was extremely slow when trying to stream live sporting events which should not be an issue for a place at this price point. I also don’t think I should have to give out my info to a 3rd party site to check in/stay at a place rented through Airbnb. With that said, we really enjoyed the space & would stay here again.

This was a perfect location for my family. Everyone is an adult. We knew it was gonna be a bit noisy and we were fine with that. The apartment is well equipped, nicely decorated, and nice that each bedroom has its own bathroom. The only thing that was missing was a dedicated workspace, which made it difficult for a few of our guests that needed to work on Friday. The floors and carpets could use a good cleaning but other than that everything was wonderful.

Excellent stay! Loved this space and will come here again - great for working, then walking to great restaurants. Only worry is that homeless population was very present and somewhat aggressive this visit. Also, noise could be heard from primary bedroom late one night. This isn't a deal-breaker - but those renting should know it's present and be prepared. This is not the fault of the owner, rather, just living downtown. The inside space was extraordinary! EXCELLENT STAY!

Central Downtown, we live in East Asheville and rented this place for some friends and ourselves for the weekend so we could all stay together. Beds are super comfy, common area was spacious with a really nice view. Super close to everything downtown.

This place is a very comfortable, beautifully appointed loft penthouse right in the middle of DT AVL. Being DT there’s city noise of all kinds but our group wasn’t affected. Parking was a bit tricky as the SoCon tourney was the same weekend and the closest parking lot was mostly utilized by those attending so we had to navigate at times to other parking lots. The owners are the most responsive. Fantastic communications. Love AVL and anything we can do to help the city get back we try. Not to the level of Billy Strings mind you, but the six of us tasted, experienced, and purchased. Come to AVL and stay here. You’ll be happy!!!

We had a great stay at this property. The space looked just like the photos and the location could not be better. There are bars and music venues within very close proximity, so it was a bit noisy at night until around 11, but that is just the trade off for having such a centralized location. We had an issue with hot water when we arrived, and the Carolina Mornings team worked around the clock until the issue was resolved. They were super responsive and did everything in their power to resolve the issue, and I was satisfied with how they handled the situation. I would recommend this location and would stay here again - or at another one of Carolina Mornings’ properties!

In town for a 3-night concert. Skylight Condo was the best choice! We were able to walk everywhere downtown. The venue was a 5-minute walk. The condo is great! Very modern. Super nice. My only suggestion would be to provide a broom and some counter-safe cleaner (there was only stainless cleaner and glass cooktop cleaner, and we didn’t want to mess up the concrete countertops!). We are all 55 and like to clean up after ourselves and didn’t want to leave a mess. We decided we would return!! It’s amazing! You won’t regret staying here.

We booked this for a weekend of music in Asheville. Our favorite band, Widespread Panic was supposed to play but had to cancel. We all decided to still make a weekend of it. This place is perfect if you want to be amongst it all. Bars/restaurants all over the place. It can be noisy late at night/morning but that didn't bother us. Overall the place was very clean and perfect for 3 couples. Will book again if given the chance.

This is our second stay at Skylight condo in downtown Asheville because it is so central to everything. It feels like a private residence, with its almost unnoticeable entryway, and the building is very quiet. The view from the living room windows is spectacular and the entire unit has an open, spacious feel. This rental is well-appointed and managed, we highly recommend it!

This place was amazing and I would not hesitate to go back! Great location, a beautiful interior, and the perfect amount of space for our group of 5. The only time we had to get in our car was when we went to Linville Falls and Biltmore House, otherwise, we just walked everywhere. Friday and Saturday nights got a little noisy with the bars close by however it was exactly as expected based on the information we were given. Always love staying at this downtown condo in Asheville! Great location in walking distance of restaurants, breweries, art galleries, etc. I stayed with my son and dog, and we had plenty of space with appropriate amenities. The place was beautiful and furnished with nice quality and easy furniture. It was central and super walkable to anything in downtown Asheville within just a couple of minutes. We had a fantastic stay in Asheville and at this apartment. It is well-located right in the center of downtown, so restaurants and activities are easily walkable, and everything else nearby is just a short drive away. Our family of five had plenty of room to spread out, the beds and linens were comfy, and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary items. The washer/dryer was a helpful asset that we used several times over the course of the week. Carolina Mornings was very communicative and made the process easy.

We had a lovely stay in this very well-appointed penthouse condo. Check-in was easy. This condo is located in the center of downtown Asheville making it very convenient to park your car and walk where you want to go. There is a parking deck across the street (currently $12/day). The condo has exceptional cookware and everything you need to prepare a nice meal if you choose to dine in. It is stocked with coffee, filters, some spices, sugar, flour, paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher detergent, etc. (basic items that we all wish every rental provided). The beds were comfortable. When you’re in the living/kitchen space, you will hear street noise as there is a bar with music located on the street level, however, the bedrooms were quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved the space, perfect urban location and artfully decorated. It spacious for us and our guests with (3) bedrooms and (3) baths. Loved that they had a washer/dryer really came in handy. All in all I would def recommend this cool place.

This was our second time to the Skylight Condo, but it won’t be our last. Incredible oasis in downtown Asheville. Highly recommended for those who want comfort and convenience. Owner is great and knows how to make it a comfortable stay.

This penthouse was the perfect place to stay for our trip to Asheville. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of downtown. It is within a couple minutes walking distance to all of the restaurants, shops, and points of interest. The layout of the penthouse is great for 2-3 couples or a family of 4-6. We really appreciated the large kitchen, large kitchen table, ample living room seating, 3 separate bedrooms (each with a full bath), and multiple king beds. The good natural lighting in the living room and views of the mountains were also a plus.

This was the perfect condo for 3 couples visiting Asheville for a long weekend! The kitchen was well stocked (we appreciated the coffee, paper towels, hand soap, bag of ice, etc.) and the beds were very comfortable! The location was within walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. I would definitely recommend this condo and hope to stay here again when we visit Asheville.

As advertised, this is a city location with lots of traditional city noises including a very active night life. Although my immediate family lives in the city and accustomed to this atmosphere, my mother does not and found it quite loud. The location was perfect for getting to UNC-A, West Asheville and, obviously, all downtown attractions. The space was perfect for gathering everyone together to eat, play games, watch tv as well as offer privacy in individual bedrooms.

The Skylight Condo (I understand the name now, clever!) was beyond our expectations. The unit was modern but welcoming, clean and spacious, fully stocked. And the location...superb: right in the middle of everything and the best part, we didn't have to drive at all!!! The instructions on how to access the flat were clear and concise. The view of the mountains spectacular! Thank you for a wonderful stay and keep up the great work. We hope to see you soon!

Wonderful penthouse views and so easy to get to the shops, restaurants, and all other spots in downtown Asheville. It feels very safe despite Asheville’s sad homeless situation. It is an amazing spot to spend time inside as well, modern decor and clean. We’d definitely go back.

The condo was really chic and was very spacious for 5 people. I liked the interior decor quite a bit and nothing felt particularly cheap. There were some strange warts with the bathrooms such as a toilet seat that was broken and couldn’t be replaced in time for our stay, an unlockable master bathroom, and a shower that seemed to be clogged. The view was really pretty and the location was very convenient. A public parking garage just a few feet away is recommended.Your host here is also a company which doesn’t allow leniency around check-in or checkout. Checkout is an hour earlier than the industry standard, and the language surrounding your timeliness felt intense. No early check-in was allowed. They will say it’s for cleaning but hotels and friendlier hosts seem to make it work.

This property is a fantastic modern condo within walking distance to just about everything downtown. The kitchen is well stocked, the bedrooms are roomy, and the place is clean and modern. I would rate the property itself 5 stars. However, what is not disclosed in the property description is that the condo (on the 3rd floor) is directly above a nightclub that has live music and/or a DJ most nights. It is very loud until at least 2am, making it impossible to sleep. For visitors who are enjoying the nightlife this should be no problem, but for our group we would have chosen a different location if the property description had been accurate. It is not average city noise levels, it is very loud club music. We shared feedback, decibel readings, and images of entertainment posters to the property management company but they are unwilling to admit that the noise levels are exceptionally loud.

This unit is directly over a club with live music. It is horrendous in the late evening. The base from the speakers literally travels through the structure of the building. The beds were all vibrating and thumping. The windows and the stained glass skylight were actually rattling. From 9pm until 3am. Every night. It was impossible to sleep. All 5 of us were ragged in the mornings. The host made the excuse of noting their disclaimer of “located in a downtown area with street hubbub and occasion noise from neighborhood venues.” Goodness. How disingenuous. It’s not the neighborhood - it’s the precise location of THIS property. This property is essentially uninhabitable unless you’re a clubber who stays out past 3am. Or sleep simply isn’t something you do. It was BAD.

The bed bugs were the last straw! Within 48 hours my son had over 40 bed bug bites all over his body. His girlfriend found 2 bedbugs in her hair and after stripping everything out of bedroom Saturday night we found that they had placed a bed bug cover on the mattress so they had previous knowledge! This happened after contacting manger that none of the TV’s were working, finding dead flowers on the kitchen counter upon arrival and ice maker frozen solid w dirty ice. Within 1 hour of checking in, I called the number posted in the book they left on the counter only to have the person call me back stating that they had not managed the property for over 3 years! They said they would send a tech but never did, I signed in my own YouTube account to get only 1 tv to work in the entire unit. Also no where in the description will it tell you that there is a night club in the same building that plays rap music that vibrates the entire floor until 2 am! I have I’ve submitted pics to airbn
