Outdoor activities in the area include whitewater rafting, kayaking, fly fishing, and hiking trails such as the Rose Walk around Lake Junaluska and the Cataloochee Divide Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Nearby Interstate 40 takes you into Asheville, where popular attractions such as the Biltmore Estate and River Arts District await your discovery. Groceries and many dining options are three miles down the road in downtown Canton. In addition to local attractions, the Cherokee Casino is less than 30 minutes away from the property, and the Cataloochee Ski Area less than 35 minutes away. River Bank Retreat is located in a quiet mountain neighborhood. This home is under a noise ordinance between 9:00 p.m. and 8 a.m. and has a very low noise tolerance. Please be mindful that noise travels far in the mountains. Firewood is not provided for guest use. If you plan on using the wood-burning amenities, please purchase wood locally upon arrival.
• This property is pet friendly, allowing one dog per reservation.
• Seasonal Gas Fireplaces are not operational between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
• Travel Insurance Recommended
During the winter months, we ask you to please consider CSA Travel Insurance to protect your vacation investment from potential winter weather events that could prevent access to the home.

Please note that this property’s Non-Refundable Period is 5 days prior to arrival. If your reservation is made within this period, it will be non-refundable from the time of booking.
