Description Description
You've found Asheville's ultimate group and large family vacation rental at Vista View Lodge! Conveniently located in South Asheville, this home boasts long range mountain views and generously sized rooms, including 7 Bedrooms, ALL with direct bathroom access to one of the 7 full Baths. The Owners took advantage of the recent Covid Spring shutdown to add new furnishings in most all of the bedrooms, along with a beautiful new outdoor fireplace, stone patio, and seating area (final completion in late June) with year round views extending for 25 miles or more.

Perfect for get-togethers and reunions, Vista View Lodge accommodates large groups comfortably with a roomy floor plan and numerous relaxing amenities. Featuring an open central gathering area on the main level, the home has soaring ceilings in the impressive great room, which includes a large living area, a window-framed dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen (new appliances installed in 2019). Bar seating in the kitchen makes mealtimes a group affair, plus a second front dining room provides even more seating. Cozy up by the great room's stone fireplace to share a warm mountain lodge atmosphere with friends and family. Three bedrooms on the main level include a generously sized main suite that features a huge main bathroom, separate sitting area with see through, double sided gas fireplace, and a private balcony where you can find your own serenity in the mountain scenery.

Head down to Vista View Lodge's lower level where you'll discover a beautifully decorated entertainment area with a wood stove, wet bar with mini-fridge, and pool table, plus a lower deck with more amazing views. Catch up on beauty rest in one of the lower level's well-appointed bedrooms, including one that's ideal for kids with a dartboard, a sitting area, sleeping room for six, and a private full bath. Among the best of Vista View Lodge's many special features is that every bedroom in the house has its own full bath.

Everyone will love being able to enjoy the incredible view no matter what the weather--a large covered portion of the deck offers shade, shelter, and a sizable outdoor living area. The gas grill and outdoor dining area are a nice change for mealtimes in any season. Experience colorful sunsets and starry skies from the bubbly hot tub, then warm up by the new outdoor fireplace. Pull up a few chairs, relax, and create memories with special people that will last a lifetime. "This was a perfect retreat for a weekend away from the real world. We didn't need to leave the house at all, but groceries, hiking, and other activities were just minutes away. We had the best weekend just enjoying each other's company in this beautiful, comfortable house. We had no major issues but based on pre-trip communications, I would guess the property owners would have been very responsive. Would 100% stay here again. In fact, we were thinking next weekend if it's free! 😉"

We had 3 groups over extended family and Vista View fit our needs perfectly. We usually congregate at a SC beach so this was our first venture on high ground. Everyone wants a repeat performance - perhaps in the warmer months.

Beautiful space located in a beautiful location. The house has everything you need to entertain a few or many. Sunrise is breathtaking. Great spot I'd visit again and again. Wonderful property. Team was easy to work with. Would visit again and again.

The house was fantastic. It slept our very large group of 16 people. We had a mix of couples and singles and it worked splendidly. The driveway is very steep and we had several large pickups with trailers and were able to negotiate the steep grade and twisty turns adequately.
Tom & from Brentwood, TN - Posted: 5/17/2019
Anniversary trip w/friends. Beautiful sunset the first night!!! Great pool table - lots of fun w/that. Explored the surrounding area which is awesome. Wonderful fellowship w/friends Sunday morning. Really nice cabin!

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Vista View Lodge. The house is designed and prepared very well to accommodate large groups. We loved the ease of checkin and checkout, as well as being provided detailed instructions for any questions that were to come up. The house is equipped with about 8 to 10 large trash and recycling bins in the garage, which really helps groups staying for a few nights. Everything in the house was as advertised, in great working shape, and labeled. This makes it extremely convenient for new guests. Thank you so much for a great stay, we hope to be back."
Huntington D from Winston-Salem, NC - Posted: 5/6/2019
"Absolutely LOVED, LOVED our stay at the Vista View Lodge. There were 10 of us and we were very comfortable. Loved having enough bedrooms and baths. The home is just as nice as the photos. Beds were very comfortable, place was so clean and the view is AMAZING. We enjoyed having the hot tub, especially at night, looking at the beautiful view. I would totally recommend this listing."

We loved the views and the HUGE kitchen table. It was a well thought out house and we were surprised by all the kitchen gadgets that were available...nice surprise!

"Great kitchen, dining area, and living area provide for a gathering of a large family with excellent views of the surrounding area. All bedrooms have baths and are well furnished with bedding, towels etc. Also, a very nice washer and drier for clothes."
Fuller B from College Station, TX - Posted: 1/24/2019
"This place is perfect. Plenty of spacious bedrooms, updated fixtures and amenities, a working hot tub, and the most spectacular views. Check in/out was easy as the front door was electronically locked. Everyone agreed unanimously that we would come back and stay here again! "
John from Houston, TX - Posted: 10/25/2018
"Wow, what a vista!! We had the spacious master suite and enjoyed sitting on the balcony for coffee and a beautiful sunrise each morning. Our group of 12, all 55+, greatly enjoyed our 4-night stay. The deck and the dining room were perfect for gathering and relaxing in large groups, while there were plenty of spaces for cozy conversation or quiet reflection. The house is conveniently close to vibrant Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate, yet feels like a secluded mountain getaway. The bedrooms were well appointed and comfortable, each with it's own bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed and was big enough to accommodate a large prep or cleaning team. We highly recommend Vista View and hope to return someday to enjoy the spectacular view, many amenities of the house, and all that Asheville has to offer."
M&R from Peachtree Corners, GA - Posted: 8/2/2018
"We rented this home for my daughter's college graduation from WCU with family and friends coming from across the state. We were so impressed with the size of the rooms, the quality finishes throughout, the amazing kitchen...and yes, our group included several ""foodies""...the top notch bathrooms and the very comfortable furnishings. Our favorite spot was the covered porch and deck with amazing views. Even the landscaping is top notch. If you have a large group, you will love this property!"
Travelers from USA - Posted: 8/2/2018
"Words cannot express what a wonderful time we had! We've stayed here on two different occasions and plan on making trips to stay here again in the future. The view is breathtaking and the home is so welcoming and accommodating for everyone! Whether there is a group of 12+ or just a romantic getaway with only two, this is the place to stay. The location is serene and peaceful but yet still convenient to downtown and surrounding areas. We definitely recommend experiencing downtown Asheville for lunch, the shops, and nightlife. The Biltmore is a must see and we also enjoyed traveling to Grandfather Mountain for a great experience."
Rachel M from A City In FL - Posted: 8/2/2018
"Located very high up in an easily accessible community, the views from the open main floor are just awe inspiring. An open floor plan centered around a very large and inviting stone fireplace makes for a great space to relax and enjoy a roaring fire. There is a very large and fully equipped kitchen to prepare any gourmet meal with two large dining tables to seat even the largest groups. The house is conveniently located near local amenities (grocery stores, gas, etc.) and near enough to downtown Asheville to make it incredibly convenient, yet far enough from the main road to make it feel like a secluded mountain retreat. Very quiet, very private. The downstairs has enough games to keep everyone occupied including a ping pong table, pool table, and dart board. Last but not least, a hot tub outside is always a welcome feature."
Dennis C from Travelers, USA - Posted: 8/2/2018
"Our family of 13 had more than enough space to enjoy a week together in this wonderful home. We enjoyed spending time on the patio taking in the view. The kitchen was well appointed and spacious, and the pool table was an added bonus!"

"A group of 17 stayed for the weekend as a birthday surprise for my husband. The house was absolutely perfect for our group. We really enjoyed the gourmet kitchen open to the large dining and living room. The wood burning fireplace was a treat on a cold January weekend and the views are really spectacular from the main living space. the neighborhood is very accessible, but the house itself is a climb from the main road, making it feel quite secluded. Our group enjoyed the pool table, ping pong table, and hot tub in particular. the house is close enough to downtown and very close to grocery and restaurants, but our group made the most of what the home had to offer and ate in for the most part and spent time touring the 5-acre property and the neighborhood itself. The house had so much to offer that the TV was never turned on the entire weekend! Our group had a fantastic time and we would all highly recommend this property for larger groups."
Sarah from Raleigh, NC - Posted: 6/2/2017
"This place was beautiful!! There is a lot to do in the house (games, pool, ping pong, hot tub, etc). Perfect place for a group and only a $20 Uber from Asheville. The property is very private. Lots of beautiful windows. The rental and communication with property managers was great."
A Happy T from A City in the US - Posted: 6/2/2017
"Beautiful place. The five acres perfectly balances privacy with the security of a safe and easily accessible neighborhood. Even though man inches of snow, the roads and fairly steep driveway were clear and easily navigable. Our group of 12 (large) guys found plenty of room in the lodge. Common areas are very spacious an very well laid out, kitchen accommodates all your cooking needs (pots, pans, flatware, utensils all provided), bathrooms are beautiful, and outdoor spaces flow nicely. To (and a half) refrigerators provide ample storage space, ping pong table/pool table well-maintained. Hilltop perch provides unbelievable views from inside and out. All appliances (hot tub, heater, grill, etc) in good working order. Quick drive to airport and downtown, as neighborhood sits close to main roads. Owners and agents are incredibly easy to work with, attentive, and responsive to all questions or concerns. there is really nothing lacking on this property. I would highly recommend this property for a large group, and will certainly be considering a return trip."

"We just spent a week with our whole family at this spectacular house! It's in a beautiful location with fantastic view and it was great fun to stand on the porch and watch others arrive, looking up at us on our perch on the hillside. There were bedrooms aplenty for everyone, and those with small children were able to escape into their own quarters at bedtime and in the wee morning hours. the kitchen was well-stocked and several cooks got into the act. The house offered everything - pool, ping pong, darts, a hot tub, a grill, a fire pit, steps leading up the hillside behind the house to a sort of undefined woodland path (great for a 5 year old!), pileated woodpeckers pecking right outside the window, turkeys (or quail?) sleeping in the trees. it was a wonderful place to stay while enjoying the environs of Asheville. Our ages range from 69 to 8 months old, and the dog had a great time too! We'd love to make a repeat visit."
Jacki from Cleveland Heights, OH - Posted: 6/2/2017
"Our family had a great time here -- the house was well stocked, very clean, and spacious for our family reunion (11 people including dog and small children). Not super close to downtown (15-20 minutes drive?), but in a nice quiet neighborhood, minutes from several grocery stores and places to eat, and convenient to Blue Ridge Parkway and Biltmore. Very steep driveway. Thanks!"
A Happy T from A City in CA - Posted: 6/2/2017
"Great stay! Beautiful house with everything you need for a large group - kitchen has great space and everything you need to cook your favorite meals, multiple refrigerators, and plenty of empty cabinet space. Two dining room tables, two living rooms, large foyer with even plenty of spaces for everyone's shoes! Two laundry rooms meant we came home with suitcases of clean clothes. Great deck with a beautiful view - we even saw two different rainbows right from the hot tub. Easy drive into Asheville or any of the many things to do around Asheville, and a quick drive to any store you need. No stores or playgrounds within walking distance. Driveway was super steep - probably not good for bikes unless you walk them up. We have 3 young children (5 and under) and the property afforded them lots of space inside and out to explore. They also enjoyed the ping pong. This house was very nicely furnished and clean. "
Courtney from Cleveland, OH - Posted: 6/2/2017
"Amazing views, quiet, relaxing and a great location for exploring Asheville and surrounding areas. Also the house was very convenient for food shopping. The house was a great size for our family part of 14 (including teens and college students) and 2 dogs - we did not feel cramped at all. The house also offered plenty of entertainment downstairs for the time we sepnt hanging out and plenty of other amenities."
John from A City in the US - Posted: 6/2/2017
We arrived and it was one of the most spectacular views and atmosphere I could have ever asked for. The views from all the porches are breathtaking. Everything was perfect condition in the house and in working order. What a great weekend! Easy and friendly communication as well! Would definitely recommend and return!!! Thank you for an unforgettable weekend Vista View!

This place was AWESOME! Too much goodness to put in one review but I think heaven on earth sums it up!
Erricca from Cary, NC - Posted: 6/2/2017
"I spent two superb nights at this wonderful home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville. The home is situated on the top of a small mountain with excellent paved access and spectacular 180-degree panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Valleys. To wake up in the morning and enjoy breakfast on the deck (next to the hot tub) to a sunrise with mist in the valleys and sunlight on the mountain peaks is truly breathtaking. The home is very tastefully designed and decorated with spacious great rooms, comfortable bedrooms, and a modern granite kitchen. We had a terrific time and would highly recommend this to our family and friends."
Smith F from North, FL - Posted: 6/2/2017
"This place is up and above the valley and the view is incredible, we were planning on a bunch of site seeing but honestly once we got in we just didn't leave. Feels like you're in the middle of nowhere but there's a lot of great stuff right around the corner. Also close to the BRPW if you like to drive :)"
Jeff from Jacksonville, FL - Posted: 6/2/2017
The views here are incredible. As soon as you walk in the door you are staring from a perspective that seems like it's from an airplane. the house sits high up on a ridge so that it is secluded yet surprisingly easy to get to. There are many great restaurants nearby and you are reasonably close to the airport and downtown. Couldn't have asked for a better retreat for our weekend getaway.

"My family had the most wonderful visit. The house is situation beautifully with spectacular views. The interior is spacious and well-appointed. Our group included 4 couples, 2 toddlers, and one baby, and we had plenty of space with the 5 bedrooms. The upstairs has an amazing master bedroom and another nice bedroom located near one another, which is where we put the couples without kids. Downstairs, the 3 bedrooms are grouped on either side of the house with lounge space between, so the couple with a toddler and a baby had the one side with 2 bedrooms and my husband and I and our toddler used the bedroom on the other side. There were so many of us in the house, yet there was enough space and privacy that everyone slept well. Also, each group had it's own bathroom, which was a wonderful plus. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything you could need to cook, including a cappuccino machine, which we loved. We also really enjoyed the numerous lounge spaces from the main living room to the downstairs family room, pool room, and ping pong area. It rained most of the weekend, so we hung out at the house a lot. One of my favorite aspects of the house was the LOCATION! It is situated high on a mountain with gorgeous views and trees all around. Yet, there was an Earth Fare, Publix, and Ingles within 5 minutes of the house. I am amazed that we cuold feel so far in the mountains and yet be so close to civilization. It was so easy to get into downtown Asheville...just 15 to 20 minutes. My family kept saying that we would need to return sometime soon, as we really had a wonderful time."

"The house is as advertised. It's huge. The hot tub is clean and well maintained. the views ar staggering from all over the house. The master suite is lovely. Multiple porches, gas and wood fireplaces, lots of fun spaces. The management company was A+ and very responsive to questions and communications. We hope to be back. Book it :)"

I like the app and the key pad entry. It made check in easy.

"Overall we had a good experience at Vista View. It was very conveniently located --close to Asheville activities, the Biltmore, and the airport. The house, grounds, location, and view were spectacular."
