Great Location
We stayed at Smokey Mountain Mecca for a wedding in Maggie Valley. Conveniently located between Waynesville and Maggie Valley, we were able to explore both towns during our stay. This lovely cabin had plenty of room for our large family and had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The beds and reclining sofas were comfortable and well made but the show stopper was the spacious deck with a hot tub and beautiful views of the mountain and surrounding area!

Golf Haven in the Smokies
I have now stayed in this cabin twice, the most recent being in July when it is great to get away from the heat on the East Coast. I love this cabin because it is equipped with everything we need for the perfect golf getaway. We abandoned our tradition of golf trips that require playing every day because our group is getting older, so we intersperse our golf days with hanging out at the local breweries (Frog Level being a favorite), going into Asheville, or just enjoying our craft beers (Catawba White Zombie) and grilling on the spacious deck. The hot tub is most welcome after a day on the course. For those of you interested in golf, we played the Lake Junaluska Golf Course, Asheville Municipal, Maggie Valley Country Club, and Sequoyah National Golf Club, the last three being the most challenging. This cabin has every comfort one could possibly need. The kitchen is the best I have ever had when staying in an STR, and the beds and electric recliner/sofas are comfortable and perfect for watching games. Perhaps my favorite thing about this cabin is the drive up the mountain. There are highland cows, creeks, a one room school house and all manner of other interesting mountain sights. I plan to return here at least once a year for many years to come.

A Haven for Relaxation
I have enjoyed visiting this cabin three times. Once was at leaf peeping time, but the scenery and views from the home are beautiful all times of the year. Another time was when it was about 10 degrees cooler than a hot Virginia Beach, where I live. Waynesville itself is full of cute shops and restaurants, but so many more towns are close by: Asheville, Sylva, Hendersonville, Highlands, so a perfect location for seeing all those places I had been reading about in Southern Living. At 83, I skipped the hiking and rafting that others in my family enjoyed, but I did manage to square dance at a July 4 celebration at Lake Junaluska. I so appreciate the lack of stairs and flat floorplan at this home. At night, my family and I enjoyed playing games, which were well stocked at the house. We had hot dogs and s’mores at the fire pit and steaks on the grill. Kitchen is great for those who don’t like to eat out all the time. Personally, a cup of coffee sitting on the comfortable porch with the fabulous view while listening to the mourning doves and watching the hummingbirds and wild turkeys is vacation enough, but there are lots of choices and conveniences. The view on the ride up the mountain is also lovely, and I appreciate not feeling like I will fall off the mountain as we drive up. Will definitely be going again.

Bonding trip
This cabin was the most memorable part of my girls trip. It’s perfect if you want to stay in and cook, the kitchen had all the appliances we needed. The backyard brought us back to camping nights. Cozy vibes. Will definitely come back.

Mountain Visit
I have been there twice. Both visits were wonderful. I love the mountains and this is where to go. Well located and quiet. Morning coffee on the deck is a must. Plenty to do and places to eat. Did I mention quiet! Can't wait for my next trip.

Cozy Cabin Weekend
I had a wonderful long weekend stay at the cozy Smoky Mountain Mecca. It was the perfect location for a girls trip to the mountains! We really enjoyed exploring Waynesville and Asheville, and there were many great hiking spots nearby.
