This place is gorgeous! We loved staying here. It was clean and had plenty of space. The location made us feel high in the mountains yet it only took us 15 min to get into town. Asheville is a great vacation spot and we will be back

We very much enjoyed our stay. The cabin and the area it is situated in is absolutely beautiful. Awesome views of the mountains, the cabin was very comfortable and warming, and easy access to Ashville, We enjoyed hanging out most in the sun room in the mornings and late evenings…lots of special family time just sitting, relaxing, visiting, having coffee and cocktails while enjoying incredible views of the mountains. Definitely need to pay serious attention to the information on the listing concerning the driveway to and out of the property in addition to reviews written about it. The driveway is NOT multiple car friendly AT ALL… types of vehicles (we traveled in a mini van), trying to park vehicles for easy access out back to the main road, unevenness of pavement resulting in vehicles dragging, bottoming out, tires spinning, etc. In addition the driveway is NOT easy on guests being in their late 80s and not being stable on their feet. It was very hard for them to maneuver in and out of the entrances into and out of the cabin to the parked vehicles due to the steep and uneven pavement/driveway. The driveway ended up being a daily nightmare and very stressful on the vehicle drivers. I don’t mean to be negative concerning our stay because the driveway situation is described accurately in the listing as well as in the previous reviews. Overall, our stay was awesome.

We had a great stay for our group of 8. The host was very communicative. The driveway is a bit steep and could be an issue without 4 wheel drive if it were to snow, but with a backup camera in the summer it was very manageable. We also saw black bears climbing the trees right outside of the cabin! Saw multiple groups of bears at other spots driving the blue ridge as well.

The views were even more amazing than the pictures! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was beautiful, and the sunroom was our favorite place. The driveway wasn’t as bad as we thought, we were able to get down and up with no problem. My only complaint was we thought the kitchen would at least have oil and some spices for cooking, so if you want to do any you have to bring those supplies. But it does have a fully stocked kitchen otherwise!

The view from a large living room was spectacular. We could see both the sunset and the sunrise. The house was spacious and very nicely decorated. When we booked it, we knew that the driveway was very steep. We had three cars but managed fine. The magnificent view was worth the steep driveway. We had a great time. Thank you.

Overall we had a great experience at this home. The views are stunning. Carolina Mornings was responsive and their information and instructions were helpful. Beautiful property. The pictures did it justice. The kitchen was beautifully and fully stocked. Convenient to Asheville and many stunning hikes. We would stay here again. The only caution would be not to bring more than one car as the driveway is quite steep, and there’s no way to turn around with two cars.

We loved our stay at the Magnolia Mountain. It's a great quiet getaway, about a 15-20 minute drive to downtown Asheville via beautiful winding roads. It accommodated our three couples and one small child fairly well. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the house was well-tended and clean. Finding the house is not as difficult as the management company would have you believe. I'd recommend either backing down the driveway if you're skilled or parking across the driveway at the street level if you are not; the driveway is quite steep and narrow.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was absolutely perfect and we felt safe in the area. It was located near everything we wanted to do and the views every morning were something I’ll never forget. I brought two little ones with me and the house was laid out so I could always have my eye on them. The host always made sure if I had any questions they were there to help.

It's a very affordable place for a group of friends, that is close to the city and nature. There was an interesting 1st day checking in but, they were able to help us out the same day. The inside looks exactly as the pictures and at night you can see the moon very clearly. Absolutely Amazing, definitely read all the details about the home though but, if you want mountain views, it's a great choice.

A beautiful house within driving distance of downtown Asheville, with a spectacular view of the mountains. Was perfect for my friend's birthday vacation! Great location if you're looking for a mountain rental with easy access to downtown Asheville. It has a great view from the side of a mountain, is located right near the Blue Ridge Parkway and several hikes, and is just a quick 15-minute drive to downtown Asheville. Charming mountaintop cabin that's been completely renovated on the inside so it's not lacking modern amenities or comfort.

I booked this house for a trip with some girlfriends and we loved it! The view is incredible - feels remote, but you're still conveniently close to downtown Asheville (~12 minutes away). We slept 9 - the room with the pull-out couch was a little snug, but still worked. Kitchen was well-equipped and the living space is perfect for group meals and hangouts.

"We had a great stay at Magnolia Mountain. Cabin pictures were very accurate. Well done renovation. The glass porch was perfect for coffee drinking on a rainy Saturday morning with an outstanding view. Open kitchen and family room were very cozy and comfortable. The location was very convenient. We drove less than a mile and did a 7 mile hike on the parkway. Grove Park Inn was about 5 miles away. Downtown Asheville was less than 15 minutes. Lovely home, beautiful views. We had a very positive experience with Carolina Mornings and this property - we would recommend. 5-star cleanliness, furnishings and bedding - kitchen was well stocked. This space is great for any group. Open common areas for visiting and lots of space for multiple people/families. Highly recommend this place and hope to return again in the future. You truly can't beat the early morning sunrise over the mountains.

"This property was exactly as expected. It even had a bit extra with a small downstairs living room and a ping pong table that the kids loved! We had everything we needed and more, and the views were amazing! Driveway was a bit intimidating, but such is life in a mountain home!"

We had a wonderful vacation in the beautiful tree top home. We traveled with our family 6 adults and 2 children under 5. The property was amazing and the only down side was no outside space to play except decks. Decks were wonderful for adults but not so great for playing ball or running around.

"Cleveland - Charleston, SC - Asheville - home in Cleveland. Wonderful vacation, beautiful views from the perfect mountain home. We enjoyed the breweries and tubing down the French Broad, and our favorite place was Sliding Rock in Pisgah Forest! Great fireworks in downtown Asheville. We saw bears hanging out in the house being built halfway down the mountain - a mama and her two cubs. We had so much fun! We LOVE Asheville! "

It was amazing but there were a couple of things that would make me hesitant to stay here again—one is how dirty the windows enclosing the sunroom are. They could use a good scrub because they are the primary source of the mountain view. Also, the skylights in the bedrooms (I'm not sure if these were mentioned in the description) were extremely loud when it rained and also made it really hard to sleep in. It was a good thing our teenagers didn't come with us after all.

Pretty views and upstairs rooms comfortable, beds and pillows cozy. Yes, the driveway is challenging to navigate and parking at the top was not a viable option. Would not attempt to navigate in ice or snow.

Beautiful property with unforgettable views, including bear sighting from the porch! Had ample space for a larger number of people and the kitchen was well organized/stocked with kitchen items. Not much is required for check-out either. Only drawback was the downstairs bedrooms-one was converted from a previous garage and for some reason the whole floor smelled really bad (possibly cat pee?).

This place is beautiful! And exactly as pictured. It was clean and easy to check into. The only major flaw in this property is the driveway. Even in a 4 wheel drive SUV, it was not possible to get up the driveway with two cars parked. I can imagine it would be even scarier with ice or inclement weather.

The view from a large living room was spectacular. We could see both the sunset and the sunrise. The house was specious and very nicely decorated. When we booked it, we knew that the driveway is very steep. We had three cars but managed fine. The magnificent view was worth the steep driveway. We had a great time. Thank you.

My friends and I had a great time staying here. The kitchen had all the necessary items you would need if you do plan to cook at the home. Carolina Mornings also offered tickets either free or a discount price to local things such as the Biltmore Estate. The views were amazing and the location was minutes away from downtown Asheville. It snowed heavily during our stay. The house did have a shovel provided. However I wish the house offered drive way salt. Due to the steep incline of the driveway i would not recommend driving down or up the hill until the snow clears. We did try to contact the home maintenance to see if they offered slat or a clearing service. Unfortunately that was not something the did not provide and you would have to pay out of your own pocket. The driveway was ice with a layer of snow on top. Which made it even difficult to walk on without falling. Con: - It was very cold in the down stairs sleeping quarters so some folks slept up stairs on the living roomcouch

Overall we had a great experience at this home. The views are absolutely stunning. Carolina Mornings was responsive and their information and instructions were helpful. You will have no issues if you read the instructions. The house was the perfect size and sleeping arrangements for the six of us. We had a lot of fun playing ping pong. The only two things I think you should know before booking this property are that the mattresses are very loud and they are not comfortable. Also, do not wear socks on the stairs or you might slip and fall like I did. I would absolutely book with Carolina Mornings again, but would not book this particular house again unless I knew they had replaced the mattresses.

The check in process and communication were great. The inside was cute, modern, and very welcoming. The parking situation is not ideal, very steep and narrow driveway. But they communicated that ahead of arrival. We had a good time, but it was a little pricey in comparison to what the overall house was. Also, not very toddler friendly. The inside stairs are pretty steep. Recommend taking a toddler gate if you’re traveling with an active toddler.

"Our stay was beautiful. The home was clean and well maintained. Everything we needed was provided. It was a couples getaway the left us all reenergized and ready to conquer our parenting roles when we left. W did not get to venture outside during our stay because of the rain and fog but that was ok with us. We had a wonderful time laughing, eating, and reconnecting as friends. our state was definitely memorable! He lost power on Christmas Eve because of a fallen tree but woke up to beautiful snow on Christmas day! The log burning really helped heat the place up once we were allowed to use it! other than that the view is absolutely spectacular especially during the sunrise and sunset! This was our perfect getaway for Christmas.

"This was hands-down the nicest cabin with the best view I have ever stayed in. My favorite part of the cabin was the wrap-around balcony, with the most majestic mountain views. Every day the view was different based on cloud patterns, and one day we saw a mountain surrounded by mountain mist, which was breathtaking. I even liked the drive from town up to the cabin on a 5-mile road winding through the mountains. I like to drive, and that was a treat every trip to and from the cabin."

"The house had so much room for our family of 8. We never felt to crowded. The open space in the kitchen, living and dining room was the best part. We had so much room to eat, play games, and just hang out. The views from all the balconies were awesome. So much seating area, separate balconies for upstairs and downstairs guests, and private balcony for master bedroom. Very pleased and surprised when I saw that the downstairs area had its own game room with a tv and a fold out couch. This just gave everyone that extra space. Also, the ping pong table in the garage was a great bonus as well. The amenities were excellent, such as the kitchen appliances, the bathrooms upstairs, directv, and great WiFi. I would definitely stay here again."

"As anyone who has stayed here will know, the house and the views are very special. The house was very roomy on the main floor, was well equipped to be able to cook, easy to stay around the house and enjoy the scenery. We had a few bears visit us as well. The electronic door lock was a plus as everyone could come and go when they wanted without having to keep up with keys or mess with a lock box."

"This space was perfect for our family of 5. The view from the deck is amazing! We had plenty of space and loved the open floor plan. It is about a 12-minute drive from downtown up a very windy hill. We did not mind the drive at all but if you are wanting something really close to downtown, this might not be ideal. However, we typically returned early in the evening and spent the evenings on the deck. The house was clean and had everything you need (towels, soap, dishes, etc). Would definitely recommend, especially if you are looking for more of a quiet mountain getaway."

The property has a beautiful view of the valley and a well-stocked kitchen with lots of cutlery. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. However, we faced several issues. There were a lot of nails in the driveway, and one of our cars ended up with a flat tire. The downstairs bedrooms had a strong unpleasant odor, and we couldn’t use them—we had to sleep on the floor in the sunroom instead. In one of the bathrooms, the shower couldn’t be turned off. A technician came but couldn’t fix it, so water ran nonstop day and night, which made it hard to sleep. The place has great potential with its location and amenities, but some serious maintenance issues need attention.

The view is wonderful, but the middle window is clouded. The two bedrooms downstairs had an awful smell (I believe from the garage)...it really made the downstairs unpleasant. We looked a moving but were unable. I would not suggest staying in this house unfortunately. The management company came out to check but were unable to help. We recieve a small refund but not enough when i the bedrooms were not really useable.
