Woods Escape

We had a great stay at Woods Escape. Our group had two families with 2 2yos and 1 10-month-old. The house was well equipped with kids' dishes, activities/toys, and books for the 2-year-olds. We did have to bring our pack-and-plays/high chairs, which they were clear about. Such a fun community - amazing pool, putt-putt, lake access, coffee shop…and even a great salon. Super easy to get around via a golf cart, although a little too hilly around the house so not that stroller-friendly (although a beautiful walk). Great home - very clean, up to date, fun garage area and stocked kitchen. The backyard with the creek, swing and fire pit was a hit too! Every time I had to reach out to Carolina mornings they were very responsive and friendly. Would stay again and would recommend it!

We all loved this vacation home. The house had everything we needed to cook meals and grill out. There were games in the garage and board games in the house. They give you one night of firewood for free but you need to grab a bundle from the grocery store if you need more. This was our first time at Rumbling Bald and the amenities were perfect for our family. We enjoyed the pools, pickle ball, and lake. We highly recommend renting the golf cart as it is easier to park at the pool area and the kids loved riding in it. The rental company was fast to answer questions and made the process seamless. We highly recommend this home.

This property was perfect for 10 people. We traveled with 2 families, and it was spacious enough not to be on top of each other. The description of the property was spot on. We saw wildlife, and it was close to everything we wanted to do. It would also be a great space for 4 couples to travel together.

My family and I loved this house more than any other VRBO home we’ve stayed in! We didn’t even need to bring phone chargers or beach towels. That’s a plus!! We as a family would come back, especially around the holidays!

Enjoyed our stay at Woods Escape! The property was beautiful, the house was clean and well-furnished. We were there in March so we had both cool and warm days. They had drained out a lot of the Lake which was a little disappointing. We went to Buffalo Creek Park, and Chimney Rock and used all the resort amenities. Chimney Rock has an entrance fee. Resort staff were friendly, they are working on the check-in building and entrance road currently. We enjoyed the 6-seater golf cart at the house and riding down to the clubhouse. There was not an additional golf cart fee. We played several games of pickleball and the court reservation was free since we brought our equipment. We played one round of mini golf and they have horseshoes, cornhole, life-size chess/checkers, Sorry, and Candyland available to use. Home came with 10 passes for the resort on lanyards, well organized. Teens loved the ping pong and foosball in the garage. We hung 3 hammocks out back and the small but swift creek was amazing. We used the fire pit a few nights and there was plenty of wood and supplies. Very relaxing and a great house!

Beautiful home, with a great layout for a large family. The home was spotless. The guest rooms were very comfortable. This house had everything we needed to enjoy some family time after Christmas. We especially enjoyed the fireplace every evening, making a cold damp night into a cozy, warm atmosphere. Our two granddaughters, ages 9 and 6, enjoyed the Chimney Rock Gem Place. A fun experience sifting through the sand to find gems. We also drove into Asheville to see the Christmas lights at the Arboretum. It was magical. Everyone enjoyed the ping pong table. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this place, and would certainly recommend it to friends.

Enjoyed the garage/game room a lot as well as the fire pit. The master suite was great! The resort was a lot of fun (pickleball, pools, beach, restaurants, mini golf), only regret was our excursions; should have just stayed at Rumbling Bald.

We had an amazing weekend getaway celebrating my daughter’s 16th birthday. We really enjoyed the fire pit. We roasted hot dogs and made s’mores. Very peaceful. We also had a fun time using the golf cart to tour the neighborhood.

The house was beautiful and clean we used the kitchen most nights. It provided a tough space to hold our entire family - recommend the upstairs space for those with small kids. Wish we had more time to just relax by the pool and beach!

We had a wonderful time. The house is great, clean, and well-equipped. The beds were all good and our hosts even supplied some toys, games, and books for the little ones. Be careful though, a bear did try to come up onto the deck one morning!

This property was beautiful. Our family had a great few days. We even saw a few bears right in the backyard. The property is in a good location making it easy to use the resort amenities or stay home and relax. There was plenty to do on the property which was nice for the rainy days we had. The property was nicely cleaned and well taken care of. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Your house and property are absolutely beautiful - so clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Thank you for your attention to detail which made our stay even more enjoyable. We loved playing ping pong, air hockey, and basketball! With our 2 teens. Although it was chilly, sitting outside listening to the stream and trying to spot a bear was magical. Our favorite meals around Lake Lure were at Highlands and market. If you go to Asheville, Pack's Tavern was a hit! We had a wonderful time and hope to come back in the future.

We loved this house! It is very neat, modern and provided such a relaxing feeling. Extremely clean. There is a small stream running in the back yard that was perfect. You could sit on the back deck and just listen to the water flow. Easy access roads were a must for us and this worked wonderfully for us.

20 and 30 somethings loved the interior! Wanted to take the house home with them. Lucky enough to see some black bear. Everything you will need to cook, shower, play, etc - even some toys for the little ones!

The house is beautiful and well furnished. The amenities are many, from the swimming pools to the lake, mini golf and hiking all located on property. Mountain views and wildlife are a bonus.

From the minute you pull into the driveway, you feel at home, once inside the home is like being in heaven, so quiet and peaceful, has anything you might need for your stay including for the kids. My wife and I stayed here for six days with our six boys and had the most wonderful vacation. If the owners would sell this property I would be first in line, we loved the neighborhood so much we are looking for property to build. If you get a chance, rent a pontoon boat and explore the lake. This neighborhood has the best amenities, kayaking, boats rentals, tennis, indoor and outdoor pools, putt putt golf, restaurants, spa, you name it. Lake Lure is definitely the place to be and this home is the best to rent, and we have rented several nice places from Carolina Mornings. And don’t forget to enjoy your coffee on the deck and hear the peaceful sound of the stream outback.

When we saw the house for the first time, we knew we had made a good decision to go with this home. Beautiful home especially with the landscape lighting in the evening. Inside was gorgeous and no detail missed. I was surprised about the creek running nearing the back of the house. My daughters would open their bedroom windows to listen to the creek when in bed. Everyone of us felt like we had our best sleep ever during our stay. The beds are very comfortable and each bedroom had its own bathroom which was nice for the kids. For the first time ever the kids did not fight over which bedroom they got...they liked them all. The wifi was strong and all the televisions had no pause in the streaming signal meaning no waiting on buffering. The back deck was enjoyable with the propane grill and a separate screened in porch with a dining table and chairs if you prefer to eat outside. The fire pit was amazing which we took advantage of and the swing on the tree was a nice touch in the back yard. We deer visitors in the mornings. I would recommend everyone rent the golf cart. It was nice to jump on the golf cart and drive to the clubhouse in the mornings and exercise or even get a massage which the wife took advantage of. The amenities of this resort made the stay even greater but even without the amenities, the home itself was worth the money and would definitely stay there again if the owners would have us.

We had a great time staying at Woods Escape. It was so nice that we’re already planning a return trip. The home was cozy and welcoming with everything you need. Nestled in the woods give you plenty of privacy if you are looking to getaway from the busy life but all the amenities you need making you feel like your staying at home. We rented this house for a family vacation, 7 adults and 1 child. There was plenty of room for everyone. The outdoor space was perfect, huge deck, firepit and screened in porch. The kitchen was very well stocked, had all the essentials to cook with. Everything was excellent quality, the towels were thick and not what I would typically expect from a rental. There were many small touches that made our stay very enjoyable. The amenities at Rumbling Bald Resort were great to have. I highly recommend this property!
