Wild Cat Cabin

A perfect getaway! We stayed here looking to escape the city, and the cabin truly delivered. With the private location at the top of the mountain, awesome amenities including the hot tub, sauna, and fire pit, and unreal views, this was the best place to spend our late Valentine's Day! The water tank did go out in the middle of our trip and took some time to refill, but that can be understood with the cabin being in the location it is. The water came back throughout the stay, enough to do what we needed to do. Overall, we highly recommend it, and we will be back!

This is a gorgeous and isolated cabin at the top of a mountain. Perfect for hiking without having to leave! Some issues with running water, but would gladly stay again!

I selected the option that looked like the pictures but it looked better than the pictures. The location was perfect (getting there was an adventure but one I welcome). Waking up to soft pale blue skies the mountain range on one side and the big sun coming over the mountains on the other side was an unmatched experience. I was just in awe of the mountains. The cabin was so cozy and just right for our stay. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. The shower gave us a minor issue the first day because much of the southeast is experiencing a drought but otherwise everything was either as described or better.

Most beautiful cabin and views I have ever seen, literally breathtaking. If you want to hear nothing other than nature and be completely isolated, this is the place for you. Absolutely loved this getaway. Will definitely be back.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. This cabin has the most incredible views of the sunrise and sunset, the wrap around porch (3/4 wrap around porch) was so dreamy. The kitchen was completely stocked. The bedroom and the loft were so clean, the whole place was clean. The hot tub was so great to relax in after a day of fun and sight-seeing. And being secluded was wonderful and peaceful. we would definitely come back!

Absolutely worth that drive up the mountain. I did it in 6"-8" snow and it was an adventure but worth every slide. The property is great, fireplace with the heating kept the 10 degrees at bay and the hot-tub on the porch is a must. Extremely well-equipped kitchen, plenty of space, comfy beds. I think the ONLY downside is one bathroom .... but don't let it put you off. Book it and enjoy it.

What a wonderful little cabin! So quiet up there. Kitchen was well stocked. We really didn't find anything we needed to go get. Cabin was clean and well laid out. You definitely need 4wd to get up the "mountain". Just keep in mind.....This is a (Website hidden by Airbnb) the woods.......up a large incline........ So don't expect that every nook and cranny will be spotless. It was very clean however. There is a big open fireplace and people do use it. We loved the slight wood smoke smell, it added to the charm. The host was amazing to communicate with, and even indulged us in a little earlier arrival time since we were running ahead of schedule. We would definitely stay here again!

The definition of getting away and unplugging…with views to accompany! The Wild Cat Cabin came as advertised and is a special place we would return to again. Highly recommended for anyone looking to comfortably unwind in a cozy and secluded area of the Blueridge Mountains!

"When they say you need a 4x4 vehicle they aren’t lying. It was a very beautiful place, nice and quiet. Perfect place to get away from everyone and relax. The cabin was very clean and decorated perfectly. I would recommend the wild cat cabin to anyone. The Lady we talked to “Marissa” when booking was very helpful and polite. Would not hesitate to go back and stay again. This time for a whole week. "

"This is a fantastic place to enjoy peace and relaxation. The home has all we needed for our stay. We enjoyed sitting, eating, and napping in the porch after our long, beautiful hikes each day. We hiked in each direction. Smoky Mountain National Park, DuPont Forest, Carvers Gap and Mt. Mitchell - even more. Asheville is a fun, good eating town with plenty to do and experience. "We stayed here nearly 2 weeks for our honeymoon & LOVED every minute! The cabin is so homey, perfect for snuggling up in on rainy days. We hiked bottom to top of Mt. Mitchell (the view is more spectacular when you've climbed it!). We drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway & saw some beautiful views, hiked the AT in Hot Springs & enjoyed White Duck Tacos & Tupelo Honey downtown! Couldn't have asked for a better time.
