Celebrating Easter in Asheville, NC

Celebrating Easter in Asheville, NC
Easter is fast approaching and we are so "eggcited" about it that we can hardly contain ourselves! Easter is a celebration in and of itself, really - our Southern Spring weather lifts the mood, a choice few bulbs burst from the ground in anticipation of the coming warm season - but a holiday isn't really a holiday in these parts unless we can pair it with some kind of party! Read on for an introduction to some of the events about which we are most excited.

Easter on the Green
Easter on the Green is an annual event in Downtown Asheville presented by Ingles Market and beloved by all! This year, the event will take place on Saturday, March 26th from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM and will feature an Easter Egg Hunt, giant inflatables (sure to wow the kids), an obstacle course, a mini bounce house, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and so much more!

Biltmore Easter Egg Hunt
The Biltmore Easter Egg Hunt is a favorite activity for locals and visitors alike. Not only does it take place in the midst of the Festival of Flowers, but the Estate hosts such a grand event that your little ones are sure to have a fantastic time! Magic shows, storytelling, crafts, and 3 super fun Easter Egg Hunts are the focal points of the day, but of course there is so much more to experience so be there or be square!

Easter Sunrise Service at Chimney Rock
If you've never been to Chimney Rock, this is the perfect introductory event! The sunrise over Hickory Nut Gorge is legendary in these parts, and this event follows it up with a beautiful service put on by several churches in Hickory Nut Gorge. A community of locals and visitors alike come to celebrate the holiday and revel in the beauty of our small corner of the state.

Staying in Style
Sometimes the best way to celebrate a holiday is to cozy-in to a beautiful home and enjoy being surrounded by your loved ones. If you're traveling to the area and you want to stay in your own home away from home, check out Storybrooke Place - an absolutely stunning 4 bedroom Arts and Crafts bungalow perched on a picture perfect knoll just 20 minutes outside of Asheville. The kids will love going on their own Easter Egg Hunt in the beautiful landscaped yard surrounding the home, and the adults will positively adore the custom furnishings and luxurious comfort of this one-of-a-kind home.
