Enjoyed our stay. The place is great. The place was well furnished and the quality of the furnishings, except for the ping pong table, was good The last few miles of road up to the place is very windy and narrow, but that was made clear up front.

We had such a wonderful, relaxing vacation. We did some of the recommended hikes and visited downtown Waynesville. The cabin was beautiful and we felt at home.

Loved our stay! It was perfect for our family - a 3-year-old, my grandpa, my husband and me. The host was highly responsive, gave great recommendations, provided tons of entertainment options, and had a beautiful, peaceful property.

We had a great time on our vacation. The house was very clean and just as described. Downtown Asheville was not far from the house, which we enjoyed. The hot tub was a great addition!

Whitetail Lodge was the perfect place to start our mornings before heading out to the mountains, There was no shortage of wonderful hikes, and some of our favorites were Sam Knob, The Devil's Courthouse, and the Art Loeb trail. The only thing that could have made this trip better is if we never had to leave.

Spent an amazing honeymoon at a gorgeous cabin! We loved our time here. Clean, fully equipped with a beautiful private setting. Hiked various trails, visited Biltmore, and a favorite place we stumbled upon Lake Junaluska. Thank you for the fond memories! Would love to come back.

This place is amazing! We were looking for a private and peaceful cabin and this place had both! Check-in was super smooth. And when you walked in, it was immaculately beautiful! The place was super clean! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious (we stayed on the first floor). It was so relaxing to sit on the deck in the morning and evening watching nature. The hot tub was so enjoyable after a long day of site seeing, hiking, etc. The kitchen allowed us to make breakfast and warm-up dinners. We fell in love with this place! And although we didn't have our pup with us, that's the only thing that could have made this place any better. We'd come back in a heartbeat!

We had the best time staying here at Whitetail Lodge. We thank you for the recommendation of breakfast, very yummy. We liked Bojum and it was a favorite. After every adventure coming back to this cozy cabin & soaking in the view from the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Thank you again for a wonderful cabin.

We absolutely love this cabin! Is it cozy and has the perfect amenities to enjoy on a rainy day! There are so many attractions nearby to explore, too! We had a great time lounging by the fire while we played cribbage and Yahtzee. Our dog loved exploring the woods and meeting the horses next door. Downtown Waynesville was great and we visited one of the best breweries in North Carolina. Thanks for the great weekend and for allowing us to celebrate a year of being married.

This cabin was perfect for our winter getaway with our dog! We loved the hot tub and wood-burning fireplace and the king bed. There were games and puzzles and all the amenities we needed. It felt very private and clean.

Very cute cabin! It seems much bigger than the pictures show. Very nice view from the back porch, but there is a tiny bit of road noise from the highway. Would stay there again!

My partner and I booked this cabin last-minute for an anniversary trip to Asheville! I have to say, the photos don't really do this cabin justice. It was so incredibly clean & cozy. We didn't want to leave! I cook a lot, and the kitchen was incredibly well stocked. We loved the wood-burning fireplace and hot tub downstairs. View was amazing, and we even got some snow on our last day there. It's not far from Asheville, and yet you feel like you're miles away from anything. We didn't really explore outside very much as we had some very cold weather, but felt very secluded and safe. Internet was reliable and fast as well! We will definitely be coming back here.

Thank you so much for sharing this amazing place! We were double celebrating. My wife's retirement from a 35-year teaching career, and our 34th wedding anniversary. We were able to slow down and relax - even with our Jack Russell, Rugis. We highly recommend shopping in Waynesville, The 209 Diner, and the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad.

"Even tho we are very young, this was a lovely 50th wedding anniversary gift from our children. Wonderful home, beautiful weather, gorgeous sunsets - foliage!! Thank you for allowing our doggies to enjoy the trip as well - great home for our furry friends! likewise we missed the rafter bears as well ! Wonderful vacation! An announcement - another grandbaby coming - their 1st child - our 4th grandchild. Next time we come, we will have a ""screamer"" - my daughter's 1st child. Her husband was a significant part of that. That's OK, he's absolutely great! Although we missed seeing your house trained bears, we didn't miss seeing the ""outside"" non-trained variety. The house is/was fabulous! We are glad that you allowed us to share the beauty of your home & the environment that it is a part of. Thank you so very, very much. A great 50th anniversary gift, and a great ""life"" gift! Felt like I was staying in a private home! Clean, well appointed, relaxing. "Day 1 - we made a big breakfast & had sweet porch talks. Day 2 - we went to the Biltmore & Early Girl Eatery (breakfast - WOW), & French Broad & made enchiladas for dinner! "The cabin was great - clean and accommodating. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of extra blankets and towels, and the amenities were great. Truly well done! Recommend driving an AWD as the graveled driveway is a little steep. Nice quiet neighborhood with some long range views. The hot tub was functional and perfect for a nice afternoon soak and there was an added measure of security with Ring cameras and sensor lights on the outside of the property. Thank you for the great hospitality, it made our stay that much more relaxing. "
