This property was probably the best I have ever rented. Beds were comfortable and the house was clean, organized and had an amazing view. If we make it back this way I would definitely rent again.

Very pretty views! We really enjoyed our stay here and we even saw a bear! The drive up to the property was pretty steep and has some pretty sharp turns so be aware of that. Minor cleanliness issues solely in the basement area.

It's a beautiful home with a nice view. The home is very spacious with a very large deck. The kitchen is well set up for cooking large meals with plenty of room for larger parties. The house is probably better suited for adults rather than kids, but it's definitely a nice home for families. The drive up to the property and driveway can be a bit challenging at first for those who don't normally drive in the mountains, but a couple of times up and it gets easier. We had a great time at the home and would stay there again.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay! The house was the perfect distance away from downtown Asheville, about 15 minutes, and less than 10 minutes to the nearest grocery store! The house was also in a peaceful and quiet location where we were still able to enjoy the surrounding nature. We will definitely be back to stay again! We have stayed at many different Airbnbs in Asheville and this one is our favorite.

Home is spacious, quiet, and in great condition. Views are breathtaking. The switchbacks on the way to house can be a challenge but that is the trade off for the incredible location. You will have a memorable stay.

One of the best .. if not the best!! Absolutely gorgeous home with great views, large modern bathrooms, huge fully stocked kitchen! Was perfect for a family of 6 adults visiting Asheville for 4 nights! Plenty of room to spread out and also comfortable common areas to spend fun time together playing games and sharing meals. Tastefully decorated with upscale furnishings throughout. Spotlessly clean too! Comfortable beds and bedding. Barbecue was wonderful for cooking and we spent hours on the deck enjoying the mountain views/stargazing. Close to Asheville shops and restaurants and we took advantage of the complimentary ticket when we visited the Biltmore. Although quite a few trails are still being repaired due to the storm, we were able to do several hikes and a waterfall trail nearby. Plus huge washer/dryer. The road to the house is steep but well worth the drive! Fresh cut flowers on the table … beautiful! This home really makes you feel you are on vacation! Loved it!

We loved our stay at this gorgeous house. There were 7 of us - our parents, our 3 adult children, our daughter-in-law, and our toddler granddaughter. We came from Massachusetts, Virginia, and South Carolina to spend a few days together in a neutral location with plenty to do for fun. We all loved being up on a hill and weren’t scared off by the steep driveway. The bedroom situation worked perfectly for us and everyone was comfortable. The house layout is excellent, with plenty of room everywhere, including the wonderful porch. We would stay here again if we returned as a group to Asheville.

We booked Carolina Mornings for our 15th wedding anniversary, and it did not disappoint. Although the drive was steep, the location was really perfect for us. It is very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was well appointed. We actually ended up canceling two of our reservations and decided to eat in. The property is just beautiful and the view was just amazing. There are tons of windows allowing a view from each room. We will be back.

A very nice house secluded at the top of a hill. Great views from the covered porch. Very clean, with comfortable furnishings and beds. It is a 15-20 minute drive to downtown Asheville. We would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time at this property. The house is just as pictured. It was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The downstairs with the extra bed and couch allowed us to spread out when we wanted the space. The deck had amazing views. The driveway is a little steep but we got used to it and loved being in the mountains and it was only a short 15-minute drive to downtown. You can tell the owners put a lot of love and care into their homes. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at the house. It's a beautiful well equipped home, with comfortable beds and furniture, a great kitchen and nice hangout areas. It has a huge deck with a great view. It's about 15 minutes outside Asheville in a very quiet location. There are a number of supermarkets within 5-10 minutes. There were also some nice hiking trails that we could walk to directly from the house (walk up the hill behind the house to the adjacent community and you can enter a local trail system that's pretty nice). The Blue Ridge Parkway is about 15 mins away. As others have mentioned, the road up to the house is very steep and the final 100 feet to the house are super steep. We didn't have any issues even with a big SUV, but initially it was eye opening! Bottom line - we loved it and would easily stay here again.

What an incredible view!!! The house was so comfortable and incredibly well equipped. We enjoyed a girls weekend, complete with massages, tarot readings, and a private chef dinner and there was plenty of space for all. Just minutes from W Asheville, we were easily able to sneak into town for a delicious dinner at Jargon, highly recommend as well! We cannot wait to come back here again!

Everybody needs beauty ... places to play in and pray in where nature may heal and cheer and give strength to the body and soul alike. [John Muir] This property spoils. Nestled in the mountains but a short distance to downtown you get the best of both worlds. The house has luxury finishes and plenty of room for entertaining. Views of the Carolina mountains and downtown. My girlfriends and I agreed this will be an annual trip to this property. "We have just returned from a wonderful Thanksgiving week in this lovely cabin. Our family loved it and there was plenty of space to relax and enjoy ourselves! The cabin has everything you need and wonderful amenities. We had fun with the fire pit, hot tub, mountain views, and hiking through the area. Everything is nearby for short day trips to Bryson City, Gatlinburg, Asheville, and Maggie Valley. We saw the Biltmore Estate, waterfalls, an rode the Polar Express. "The property was amazing. When you're driving there, it definitely feels like you're driving to the top of a mountain. Then you get to the top and the views are incredible. We took our two children and the house suited our family perfectly. It was very clean, cozy and we could have stayed all month! We always rent houses when we travel, and this was one of my favorite and one of the cleanest/nicest we've experienced. It was also a really easy 15-minute drive downtown and close to hiking as well. Although when you're sitting in front of the fire or out on the porch watching the sunset, it's hard to pull yourself away from the house."

The house had everything we needed and there was so much to see and do in Asheville. Even our 2 year old loved playing out on the balcony and riding the roller coaster up and down the mountains. P.S. "This home is so beautiful and comfortable that you may not want to leave. Although there is a lot to do in Asheville, the views from the deck are amazing and it may be hard to get in the car again to make the short drive to Asheville to take advantage of the many restaurants, interesting shops, and art galleries. Asheville is only a short drive away, but at this home, you will feel as though you are in the mountains and far from any city. Hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway is available, but you can also find some interesting hikes which can be accessed from this property. It is a five-star experience."

"I can't say enough about the positive experience we had renting this home. The app was great, the house was phenomenal. As a group, we rent homes for vacation trips usually 2 or 3 times a year. The home was beautiful and the views were incredible. The home could have used more attention in the cleaning. The murphy bed sheets had not been changed, the shower heads had built up mildew, the bathroom upstairs had hair on the shower and several light bulbs were out in the bathroom as well. The carpets were a touch stained as well. Overall it was lovely, however for the price of the stay we expected pristine.

Spacious , modern designed home. View is nice. Drive up the mountain is a little scary - get a medium SUV.Kitchen is well prepped , but no coffee or sugar. make sure to bring yours from the first day.One star down because of the cleanliness issue, which We encountered, that was addressed by Carolina mornings.

The location and view are amazing from this property, easily exceeded expectations. Upon arrival there were a few cleanliness issues that we were formed the company about. This place is really spectacular, however some maintenance is needed but it a major issue)

Loved being in Asheville for my daughter's wedding 4/27/19. This house was amazing for our family. So lucky my brother-in-law was able to come - he had a heart attack 6 days prior!! My son and my boyfriend made the trek to pick up wedding favors!! My BFF for life helped me more than you could ever know. J-Wow (Sue) you are amazing and thanks for sharing this with me and my family. My sister - set up an amazing charcuterie table. The girls - my nieces so precious - love them so much. What a week. "Black Oak was an AMAZING home is the fabulous mountains of Asheville North Carolina. A weekend out of the city with some girlfriends could not have been more perfect. The house was super easy to find and the amenities were fantastic. I could have sat on the back porch and read every book in the house! The view was incredible. I wish I had more time, and will totally be heading back soon."

The property is great if you’re looking for that “secluded mountain retreat” but still want to be close to downtown. However, it needs some work and an extreme deep cleaning. We arrived to find disgusting sheets on one of the “made” beds, dirty towels, filthy baseboards, stained carpet, hair/dust balls all over, moldy showers, etc. One of the upstairs toilets also didn’t work the entire time we stayed, despite a handyman supposedly coming to fix it while we were out one day. We were only provided two trash bags and one roll of the thinnest toilet paper you’ve ever seen for each of the bathrooms. Definitely not enough for a multi day stay in a house that sleeps 8 (we had 6 women and went through those supplies the first day).

This is a lovely home that does need however some serious cleaning and maintenance . Carpets in bedrooms were very dirty . Bed sheets are old . Several Bath towels are falling apart. House needs some tender loving care!!!!!
