Follow the winding road from Black Mountain, North Carolina, to the archway and entrance gate of Catawba Falls Preserve, a 900-acre mountain community that borders Pisgah National Forest. This Appalachian retreat offers year-round paved access and on-site trails leading to Catawba Falls and Hemlock Falls. Designed for memorable gatherings, the home features a hot tub, a game room, and five bedrooms arranged across three levels (each with en suite bathrooms), making it ideal for multiple families traveling together. With modern amenities blended into a classic log-frame design, this classic cabin becomes especially inviting in the evening as a wood fire crackles in the stone hearth. Guests may prepare favorite meals in the gourmet kitchen or pass the apron to the group’s grillmaster.

A row of rocking chairs on the wraparound deck provides a front-row seat to wooded mountain views and the calming sound of the stream in the valley below. For groups that enjoy friendly competition, corn hole and a ping-pong table offer hours of entertainment. After a day of exploring, the six-person hot tub provides soothing relaxation, while the primary suite on the main level offers a private sanctuary complete with a jetted tub in the en suite bath. • Noise Ordinance
Wildcat Lodge is located in a quiet mountain neighborhood. This home is under a noise ordinance between 9:00 p.m. and 8 a.m. and has a very low noise tolerance. Please be mindful that noise travels far in the mountains.
• Parking Restrictions
Please note that parking is not permitted on the street or on the grass. To avoid any HOA fines, we kindly ask guests to only park in the driveway.
• Travel Insurance Recommended
During the winter months, we ask you to please consider CSA Travel Insurance to protect your vacation investment from potential winter weather events that could prevent access to the home.

Location Details
Wildcat Lodge is approximately twenty minutes south of Black Mountain, NC, where you can find unique shops, galleries, and community events, as well as the nearest grocery store. Also, twenty minutes away, Old Fort, North Carolina, touted as the "next great hub for the cycling community," has an abundance of cycling trails, including the Old Fort Gateway Trail System and Foothills Watershed Bike Park. Hickory Nut Gorge Park, Chimney Rock State Park, and Lake Lure offer a summer recreation wonderland to the south of Wilderness Lodge. A drive north along the Broad River takes you to Interstate 40 and Asheville, NC, home to Harrah's Cherokee Center Asheville, the Biltmore Estate, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the River Arts District. This Asheville vacation rental is located in Black Mountain and is approximately 40 minutes to downtown Asheville.

Please note that this property’s Non-Refundable Period is 30 days prior to arrival. If your reservation is made within this period, it will be non-refundable from the time of booking.
