Walk through the front door into a spacious great room with large sliding doors that open to a deck with fantastic views of Pisgah National Forest. The sun pours into the open design floor plan, giving the space a peaceful and motivating daytime atmosphere. You will notice handcrafted elements throughout the home, such as the hardwood floors and the custom stone fireplace, including a hand-carved mantle with a black bear motif. The modern farmhouse decor will also heighten your cabin experience, with fun elements like LED artwork and a mobile bar set with wine glasses, and thoughtful touches like velvety throw blankets on each bed and couch. With the fully-equipped kitchen and a gas grill, there is plenty of room to cook for a group, and the family dining table at the center of the home is a great gathering space. The main level master suite features a king bed and a spa-like en suite bath with a clawfoot soaking tub. On the upper level, families can make themselves at home with a twin-over-full bunk bed in the loft and two additional bedrooms. One of the bedrooms features a built-in desk with a view, a dreamy place to stay connected. Mountain Air Country Club will take your Western North Carolina getaway to a whole new level. Less than an hour north of Asheville, NC, the private community is secured with a staffed gate and features miles of well-kept nature trails through an Old Growth Forest Preserve, providing plenty of opportunity to get outdoors for hiking and wildlife sightings. Just a few miles away, discover Burnsville, NC, where there are great restaurants and art galleries, several grocery stores, and an old-fashioned movie theater. Things to do outdoors are abundant in the area, including whitewater rafting, kayaking, fly fishing, and ziplining. Other nearby attractions include the Blue Ridge Parkway, horseback riding, Mount Mitchell State Park (the highest US peak east of the Mississippi River), and gem mining in Little Switzerland. This Asheville vacation rental is located in Burnsville and is approximately 48 minutes to downtown Asheville; all at 3419 ft above sea level.
