Communication was great, check-in was easy, and early check-in was offered. The cabin felt like home, with a well-stocked kitchen and a nice charcoal grill, perfect for cooking family meals. The real star was the property itself! Nestled in a small valley and surrounded by forest, the setting was absolutely spectacular, especially during peak fall foliage. It was so peaceful and secluded that we felt like we had the entire holler to ourselves! Inside was equally beautiful, blending rustic cabin charm with modern updates. If you’re looking for peace, quiet, and beautiful scenery, this is your place! We loved our stay and can’t wait to see what other properties these folks have to offer!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such wonderful feedback! We're thrilled that Sugar Creek Cabin provided the perfect retreat for your family, and we're especially glad you enjoyed the spectacular fall setting and peaceful forest surroundings. Your kind words about our communication and the well-maintained kitchen and grill mean a lot to us. We'd love to welcome you back for another visit, and we're grateful you're interested in exploring our other properties too. We can't wait to host you again!

Perfect family mountain escape!
Our family and friends stayed at the Sugar Creek Cabin and we had an incredible time. The kids loved having their own room with twin beds and playing ping pong downstairs, while us adults really appreciated the peaceful setting, cozy stone hearth fireplace, and soaking in the upper-suite clawfoot tub after long days. It's a fantastic home base for exploring. We took quick day trips to tour the Biltmore Estate, visit downtown Asheville (French Broad Chocolate anyone?), and go hiking in Pisgah National Forest. But honestly, hanging out at the property was just as special, especially making s'mores together around the hillside fire pit under the night sky. We would strongly recommend it to anybody looking for somewhere close to Asheville while being far enough away to also enjoy some peace and quiet.

Lazy Women, a Dog & Fireflies
Sugar Creek Cabin was the perfect retreat for our girl’s getaway week in the North Carolina mountains! The historic covered porch was the ideal spot for our morning coffees, nighttime cocktails and to watch my dog blissfully play on the property. Our other favorite was watching the wildlife: birds, squirrels, rabbits, a surprise deer on the edge of the property and especially the fireflies at night-that’s something we have not seen in a long time! We made the easy drive into Asheville for antique shopping and lunch but were mainly content to stay at the cabin, walk down to the creek and to park ourselves on the porch. Thank you for having us! We look forward to coming again!

Great Summer Spot
We had the pleasure of staying at the Sugar Creek Cabin on one of our "let the wind take you to the next spot" road trips a few summers ago. We decided Asheville and Weaverville would be a great place to stop, and we were right! We had a fantastic dinner in town Weaverville and made some fast friends, we hiked the trails, took paddle boards and floated the French Broad, and the Fourth of July in Asheville was beautiful! The cabin was a perfect home base for us. We had gorgeous sunrise coffee time on the front porch seeing the wildlife walk around, and at night we took a blanket out and laid under the stars. It had all the amenities we needed, and none we missed. The drive up to the cabin is fun to see farms, animals, and rolling hills. All in all it is a perfect place to have the experience you want to have. I hope you enjoy it as much a s we did.

All-Around Favorite
Of all the cabins and cottages in which we have stayed while traveling around the US and now Great Britain, Sugar Creek Cabin has been the all-around favorite. The warmth and character of the refurbished historic cabin encourages connection with family around the fire, or quiet reflection on the past. The addition embraces the cabin like a glove does a hand, while remaining modern—spacious, tasteful, and full of conveniences. The location is pretty ideal too—secluded and private but not distant or lonely. Weaverville is nearby, with its arts and crafts and nice cafes—this is a good base for exploring the Blue Ridge.

Fabulous - inside and out !
Had the pleasure of staying at Sugar Creek this past weekend- historic cabin was gorgeous with original stone fireplaces, spacious with mountain view’s everywhere and great front porch for rocking and relaxing - would love some chairs on the upper grass terraced area for morning coffee (the view of mountains is even more expansive there). Super quiet and relaxing / loved Well-Bred in Weaverville and Leo’s in Asheville!! Thx for having my pup too !!!
