Description
Still Rock Farms invites you to share in the out-of-the-ordinary experience of farm life in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway for two or a memorable vacation for the whole family, this brand new cabin will broaden your horizons with a unique adventure on a working farm - complete with free eggs you can gather by walking to the chicken coop!
Imagine waking up in the morning, putting on a sweater, and taking your steaming mug of coffee out to the screened deck to overlook the fields of grazing cattle. One-hundred-plus fenced acres of private land surround the cabin, which is sided with wood that was milled from the very trees that were cleared to build the home. Stretch your legs and explore Still Rock Farms' beautiful rolling pasture and forest. Several miles of rough roads run through the property that are ideal for hiking and mountain biking.
The cabin's interior is bright and cozy with a comfortable living area, and the fully equipped kitchen allows you the ease of cooking homestyle meals. Satellite TV and WiFi will keep you connected, but you'll find that nature keeps drawing you back outside to appreciate the peace and quiet of the countryside. Take a well-deserved break in a rocking chair and enjoy the slower pace of life. With no light pollution out here, the nighttime sky is full of stars - perfect for an evening soak in the hot tub. Still Rock Farm's newly installed hot tub is "Chemical Free" and filled with mountain spring water before each guest arrival!
The guest cabin may be newly constructed, but much else at Still Rock Farms stands as it has for over a century, including a family cemetery with gravestones dating back to the 1800s, farm relics like a mule-driven plow that until recently worked the hillside for corn, and preserved structures that showcase the property's history such as the salthouse, canning house, and original farmhouse. As you drive to the property you’ll pass one of the two Allen E. Roberts Barns built in the early 1800s and converted to burley tobacco barns in the mid 1950s. These are built of finely hewn logs with half-dovetail corner notches, the largest log being 19 inches high. They are part of the South Marshall Township Historic Barn Tour, which is a project of the Appalachian Barn Alliance, and you’re welcome to walk to the smaller of the two and tour it any time, as it is part of the property. Still Rock Farms owes its namesake to the old days when corn liquor was made in abundance in this region - a hillside cave shows evidence of bygone times with a black soot outline on the rock where the moonshine still once burned.
Today, Still Rock Farms is home to over fifty head of cattle, 2 turkeys, and one miniature donkey named Eeyore and another Donkey named Winne. There's also pigs on the farm at times. As a guest on the farm, you'll witness the daily activities of tending to the cows and caring for the property, and the owners are always happy to answer questions! Agritourism is an exciting educational opportunity, especially for children, to see a working farm and witness a way of life that emphasizes down-to-earth values like respect for the land and hard work. Be it an encounter with a grazing cow, a hike through the woods, or a raspberry picked and eaten right off the bush, Still Rock Farms offers a true break from the rush!

We came to visit the Biltmore Estate and we had a wonderful weekend at the Still Rock Farm.
We came to visit the Biltmore Estate and we had a wonderful weekend at the Still Rock Farm. The view is breathtaking and we loved the farm animals and the hot tub. The house is very cozy and welcoming. For sure we are planning to come back again! We also got the chance to meet the owner Harold and enjoyed learning more about the history of the area. Thanks again Harold and Carolina Morning for your amazing hospitality and for making this a memorable vacation!Nadjim H - Posted: 9/25/2024 - Stayed from: 9/20/2024 to 9/22/2024
By far the best experience we have had with any rental property!
By far the best experience we have had with any rental property, the property exceeded all our expectations and was beautiful. If I could give more than 5 stars, I certainly would. Already planning our trip back for next year!Julie H - Posted: 5/26/2024 - Stayed from: 5/13/2024 to 5/17/2024
My family and I stayed here at the Still Rock Farms and we had the best experience.
My family and I stayed here at the Still Rock Farms and we had the best experience. My two kids (6 & 16) enjoyed roaming the area and checking out the farm animals. We collectively agree that the donkeys, Winnie & Eyore were our favorite part of our visit. The view from the room on the top floor is breathtaking and the cabin itself was so very cozy. You can climb the mountain or, relax and take in the views from the balcony or hot tub in your downtime. Aside from the wonderful views and amenities(hot tub, grill, fresh eggs from the hens!), the hospitality is what made our stay as enjoyable as can be. The owner was responsive and tentative when we had questions and was so kind. He took time to chat with us about things we may need during our stay and even told us some historical information about the property. Not only do we recommend staying here, but we plan to stay here again for our next visit to NC. P.S. We miss it all alreadyChris C - Posted: 2/22/2024 - Stayed from: 2/11/2024 to 2/18/2024
It’s the perfect cabin for our family of four.
We love still rock farms! This was our second time here. Our 2 daughters love the donkeys and check the chicken coop every day for eggs. Howard was so kind to show and educate our daughters about several things on the farm, from giving Bluebell the cow medicine to letting them get close to the donkeys. We felt safe letting the girls just roam around while we read books on the porch… but also enjoyed hiking around the farm. It’s beautiful and very clean. It’s the perfect cabin for our family of four. Can’t wait to come back again!Caroline H - Posted: 12/21/2023 - Stayed from: 11/16/2023 to 11/21/2023

We especially enjoyed how peaceful it was!
Our favorite part was enjoying the interaction with the animals and the family. They truly are the nicest people and so full of knowledge of the surrounding areas of what to do. It was so much better than just going back to a boring hotel room. We especially enjoyed how peaceful it was sitting on the porch in the morning and evening.Lisa S - Posted: 11/13/2023 - Stayed from: 5/20/2023 to 5/25/2023

It was exactly what we were looking for.
We loved our stay at the farm. It was exactly what we were looking for. Close enough to Asheville activities but far enough away to just relax and enjoy the peace and beauty. Our girls (7&5) loved the animals and they're feeding the donkeys, and pigs, and collecting eggs from the Chicken Coop every morning. The cabin and property were great and had everything we needed. The owner Harold was very nice, offering us the history of the farm and answering all the questions my girls threw at him. We’ll be back!Matt M - Posted: 7/27/2023 - Stayed from: 7/3/2023 to 7/8/2023

Excellent Getaway!
The property is fantastic with a true farm experience with majestic views of nearby mountains. Harold, the host was extremely diligent in making sure we had a great experience and also gave us a quick overview of the history behind this 150+ year-old farm and gave some great recommendations of things to do around here. Very serene location and it has all the amenities one would expect. Would definitely book here again.Nataraj V - Posted: 5/5/2023 - Stayed from: 4/22/2023 to 4/23/2023
Mountain Discovery Pass!!!
The awesome view and the hot tub were amazing! The owner was very knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent experience! Better than expected! I was pleased with the rentals and the farm experience! Carolina Mornings sweetened the deal with the Mountain Pass where we enjoyed the Biltmore on the day of check-out. I should have taken a screen shot of the tickets before getting to the Biltmore, but that problem was easily resolved. Definitely best rental experience ever!Amy C from Whitesville, KY - Posted: 11/21/2022 - Stayed from: 10/9/2022 to 10/12/2022
Peaceful get away
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again. Harold, the owner was very personable and told us all about the history of the farm. The house was very clean and well stocked. We had a blast feeding the donkeys, Eeyore and Winnie apples and carrots. The farm fresh eggs we gathered from the coup every morning nearby where delicious. We only stayed three nights due to our schedules but would have liked to stay longer. Thanks so much!Daniel W - Posted: 9/15/2022 - Stayed from: 8/6/2022 to 8/9/2022

30th Anniversary Getaway
This property jumped out at me from the listing & photos, and it was even better than we expected. Check-in was seemless. We were on a mountain-side farm, which was charming; we had 110 acres to ourselves, which meant fresh air & privacy. I didn't think I'd care about the hot tub, but we tried it the first night and looked forward to it every night after for the fresh, relaxing water under the stars. The loft bed was very comfortable. I slept better here than at home. Full size washer/dryer meant we could run a load & go home with clean clothes. The kitchen & bath looked nearly new, clean and well stocked. We fed Eeyore & Winnie carrots and apples, and collected fresh eggs from the chickens for our breakfasts. The owner came to feed the animals each morning completely unobtrusive, but when we walked down to greet him, he was knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. He explained how to follow the hiking trail around the property which we enjoyed. Our visits to Mt Mitchell, Asheville, and a local winery were close enough for day trips. We didn't use the Mountain pass, though it was available. My husband found the neighboring roads good for his morning runs. We really enjoyed restaurants in Weaverville, particularly the Stoney Knob Cafe. Coffee each morning & cocktails in the evening on the screened in porch (no bugs!) with a view of the mountains was beautiful and peaceful. We will absolutely be back.Kimberli R - Posted: 8/10/2022 - Stayed from: 7/14/2022 to 7/17/2022

This is the spot
This is a hidden gem! My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and could not be happier with the experience. The two sweet donkeys in the pen next to the front door are the sweetest. The cows grazing on the back hill visible from the kitchen window while you prepare dinner is next level. You are able to gather eggs for breakfast from the chicken coop for breakfast. I literally can’t say enough good things about this place. The owner is the sweetest and accommodating/friendly. This place is a must see if you need a quiet mountain retreat. 10/10 will be back.Anonymous U from Clayton nc - Posted: 6/25/2022 - Stayed from: 6/23/2022 to 6/24/2022

Just what we needed - secluded, quiet. Hot tub was amazing. Donkeys were unexpectedly fun. Lovely porch with rocking chairs. Arrive in daylight! Even after arriving, we got lost a few times at night.Sharon W - Posted: 6/16/2022 - Stayed from: 3/6/2022 to 3/10/2022
Absolutely Beautiful!
Absolutely loved staying here, it was soo relaxing and peaceful. Eeyore and Winnie were soo fun to feed everyday and watch and going to get fresh eggs from the coop was great! Personally for me the absolute best thing was the view from the hot tub at night. Just a mountain shadow and countless stars to watch. Harold was a fantastic host and such a sweet man. This place definitely is a little slice of heaven and We definitely hope to return again.Ashley P - Posted: 6/16/2022 - Stayed from: 3/20/2022 to 3/25/2022
Our Favorite Farm!
We fell in love as we drove up to Still Rock Farm! If you are looking for a vacation away from it all, this is the place. The cabin is comfortable and cozy and had everything we needed - even a crock pot! We really enjoyed relaxing on the screened porch and evenings soaking in the hot tub while watching the stars appear above the mountains. The property is beautiful and a delight to explore. The cattle are a joy to watch as they move around on the mountain. We were blessed to see two new calves that were born during our stay. Who cannot love the two donkeys and gathering fresh eggs from the chicken coop in the morning for breakfast? The owner, Harold, is a gracious host full of interesting information about the history of the farm and the surrounding area but he also knows how to be invisible and let you just enjoy his farm. And we did enjoy it! We have stayed in a few cabins in the mountains in Tennessee in the past, but they were always stacked on top of each other. This cabin is situated on a 100 plus acre farm with few neighbors across the road and gorgeous mountain views (and no cell towers in sight). We definitely hope to return to Still Rock Farm again sometime. Harold has a truly unique gem in this cabin and setting. Thank you, Harold!Dan B - Posted: 6/16/2022 - Stayed from: 4/1/2022 to 4/7/2022

Serene and quiet retreat !
My best friend and I stayed for three nights. We loved getting fresh eggs, hearing and feeding the donkeys, watching the cows, clouds and listening to the night sounds. The hot tub is spring fed and so so clean and relaxing! We had a bit of a challenge initially finding the place, but once we arrived it was a great hidden gem! Follow them on FB and read about the Farm and all that goes on. It helped the cabin come alive to us! If looking for a farm experience close to hiking, the Biltmore and Asheville, but away the the busyness of the city, this is a great retreat!!!!!!Johanna B - Posted: 6/16/2022 - Stayed from: 5/12/2022 to 5/15/2022
Beautiful Views & Peaceful!
The property is as listed, no surprises. The screened in front porch was peacefully wonderful. We enjoyed gathering fresh eggs and chatting with the turkey. Eeyore and Winnie were a hoot or bray!! I think Eeyore likes one of the cows as he was always chatting with her at the fence. Would have enjoyed a longer stay...next time.Sue W - Posted: 6/16/2022 - Stayed from: 5/23/2022 to 5/26/2022

"Loved the combined kitchen/family area and loft above. It made it seem like our family was together the whole time even when 16 yr old stowed away to loft. Of course, we all loved the hot tub. I really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. We cooked dinner and breakfasts and grilled and ate out for lunch while exploring. The property was beautiful."Lindsay Y from Lucama, NC - Posted: 7/15/2021

"Great cabin! Great view! Great hosts! Family of four had a fantastic weekend at this cabin built expertly by the hosts with great care and respect for life in these surroundings. He told us, ""it's hard to build something new that feels old"" but they pulled it off. The friendly pigs, a curious donkey who loves attention, being able to walk the property, the outdoor hot tub, mornings watching fog roll through and burn off the hills and mountains, short drives to great day hikes, a wonderful stay in so many ways."Andy T from Nashville, TN - Posted: 7/24/2020

He gave us some great hiking locations and shared some property history. It's a farm, so you'll get muddy if you want and bugs are just natural. We enjoyed watching the cows and all the other wildlife from the front porch. The hot tub was very relaxing, and the cabin was comforting. By far our favorite experiences were hiking on the property and feeding the cows and Eeyore. Luke still talks about wanting to feed them each night. We were excited to get to meet the new chickens before we leave. The coop looks great. Thank you again! We hope to be back again!"Jason P - Posted: 4/22/2019
"This cabin was magnificent. It was so homey and a delight to stay in. We greatly enjoyed our trip and it was certainly in part because of your beautiful farm and hospitality. It was so cool to hear the cows mooing every morning and it sure was sort of a cultural shock! Nevertheless, we loved it! Eeyore was adorable and super friendly and the fresh eggs every morning were delicious and such a fun experience. Looking forward to coming back this summer (or maybe earlier)! "Happy new year! Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday getaway. It was challenging to select a cabin online as there are a ton of options - we really lucked out selecting Still Rock Farms. It is 13 degrees as I write this - I hear it's the coldest weather NC (and much of the Southeastern US) has had in years. It made the experience (along with the dusting of snow) even more special for us Floridians! We had a great time bundling up, visiting the animals, exploring the grounds, and talking with Harold. We can't wait to recommend Still Rock to our friends and family - and book our next visit! Happy 2018!"Kate & from Jacksonville, FL - Posted: 4/22/2019
We came to this quaint home to celebrate our daughter's 6th birthday! She said this was the best birthday so far. We LOVED every second of it. We hiked up to the family cemetery 2 hills away. It was breathtaking. Eeyore was our favorite donkey ever. I loved hearing his calls & watching him sprint down the hill to come greet us. Everything about this place was beyond perfect! "What a wonderful spring break we have had at Still Rock Farms! The setting is gorgeous! We have so loved the valley views and the mountain views all while enjoying the farm animals. Our 7-year old twins have had an absolute blast! The words ""awesome"" and ""paradise"" have been vocabulary staples of theirs this week. They have loved roaming the farm, cow watching, collecting fresh eggs, and of course, petting and feeding Eeyore! What a special treat for us as parents to watch their free play and imaginations at work on the farm! Mr. Harold - thank you so much for taking time from your busy day to share your property, family history, and stories with us! Your hospitality was much appreciated! Upon arrival, we were greeted by the very friendly mini donkey, Eeyore. We didn't know his name at first so we called him Leroy, so he will always be Leroy to us. He quickly became our favorite part of our trip. We are so sad to leave him! However we hope to come back and visit him again in the future. Thanks for an amazing weekend! We loved exploring the farm on our own but especially enjoyed talking to Harold and learning the history of his family on this property. It was also great to get some tips on where to find special places on the property. (Cemetery, cave-old still site, share-croppers cabin & the beginning of the springs) All the animals are great. Loved the eggs. Calling Eeyore and seeing him come running down the hill to get his carrots & apples was great. The hot tub at night was very relaxing. There are so many stars here it is incredible. "We have had an amazing family vacation here! Cooking Thanksgiving dinner in your adorable kitchen, letting our boys run up and down the rolling hill, getting fresh eggs from the chickens and watching the sunrise over the mountains as the cows grazed. This place is a truly a rare an special experience. Our 2 year old loved feeding Eeyore every morning. ""My company!"" he kept saying. We spent much of our time here hiking and unspoiled and undeveloped acres and acres of land. It's incredible to see cabins and barns on this land that are more than 150 years old. Our 6 year old got to run around as much as he wanted without us having to worry about busy roads or him disturbing neighbors-a FIRST! My husband and I appreciated the porch with its incredible views of the trees turning colors. Watching the sunset over the valley with cups of hot chocolate was an evening ritual. The cabin is beautiful. Very relaxing and peaceful. Enjoyed our hikes...but no cows. Eeyore is cute and loves apples! The views and hot tub are one of my favorites. Spent the day hiking but couldn't find the cemetery. Very enjoyable. P.S. We counted 86 chickens!Mark A from Richburg , SC - Posted: 4/25/2018
We enjoyed our stay at your charming cabin. It exceeded our expectations. Thank you for sharing your property. We're only sorry our stay couldn't be longer! The S from Granton , NY - Posted: 4/25/2018
"Thank you for a great weekend at a great cabin. We enjoyed everything about it, other than the fact we couldn't stay long. The beautiful views, the enjoyment of watching the livestock all made for a wonderful birthday weekend for my mother in laws 82nd birthday. We would love to come back again! "Jackie from Denver, NC - Posted: 4/25/2018
"We truly enjoyed our time in North Carolina and at Still Rock Farms. The mountain views are beautiful! We loved our tour of the property, especially the old house and cemetery. Also along with the fresh eggs. They were a bonus. Our 25th Anniversary trip has been an amazing time. Although we were a few days too early for the beautiful colors of fall here at the cabin, Harold gave us great advice on where to travel to experience them. Thanks! :) We certainly plan to come back again as 4 days/5 nights are not long enough to enjoy everything. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us! P.S. We counted 82 chickens in the kitchen/dining/living rooms :)"James a from DeRidder, LA - Posted: 4/25/2018
"We really enjoyed our trip to your farm. The stay was perfect. The cabin is very equipped and comfortable. Thank you, Harold, for taking the time to share the history of the property with us (including the cave)! You can sure tell you both love your slice of heaven! We will look forward to returning and seeing the progress! P.S. Eeyore is cute! !"Harold a from Daytona , FL - Posted: 4/25/2018
"What a gem! We came here for rest and relaxation and that's exactly what we got. My husband and I have been coming to Asheville for many years and stayed at quite a few cabins. This was by far the most relaxing and enjoyable. My mother in law also loved her time here. The views are amazing, especially the morning and oh my, the beautiful stars at night. Wow! We absolutely LOVED Eeyore. It loved the apple and banana we fed him. He is a total sweetheart. You have a wonderful farm and stunning property. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. Wish we could stay longer. "Amanda T from Columbus, OH - Posted: 4/25/2018
"Wow! When we found this jewel online, we had no idea how beautiful and scenery it truly is. My husband and I brought our two kids (Ella,9) and (Austin,7), and they have loved everything from the hilarious donkey, naming the cows and getting in the hot tub, and listening to the sounds while rocking on the front porch. You all have made it such a home with every amenity needed. We love all the special decorative things that make the cabin a farmhouse. All of the extra touches are adorable and we still can't figure out how you got the shower head from a can! On our second day we met Mr. Harold and learned some history- my kids think Mr. Harold is so nice, and he also let us visit the chicken coop and take a few eggs. All in all, we had four great nights here at Still Rock, and we thank you for such a great, relaxing place. We will be back! "Kelly B from Nashville, TN - Posted: 4/25/2018

"Wow! What an amazing farm you guys have. We celebrated my daughter's 14th birthday here and it was perfect. The cabin is beautiful, clean & cozy. Having the cattle around and Eeyore was awesome! I brought my binoculars and watched deer passing through after daylight & the hot tub was fabulous. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. We hope to return again soon!"Scott C - Posted: 12/5/2017
My parents and I would like to give you immense THANK YOUS for having this spot of heaven available to others! Our time here was not long enough however we will return. The peacefulness you feel here is evident and the views are everlasting! Eeyore is just the cutest too! Thank you for letting us have a trip we will remember forever.Kasey R - Posted: 10/4/2017
"Thanks for the very cool cabin. The views are amazing. We enjoyed the eggs from the chickens, listening and watching the cows and visiting with the donkey. The mountain roads and views in rural NC are ea big change from Wisconsin. We enjoyed the twists and turns and stopping to take in the scenery. It was very nice to meet and see Harold and thank you for letting us use the shed during the storm. The driveway was a bit daunting at first but I got used to it. The cabin, porch, deck, hot tub and all the amenities were perfect - especially the screen porch!! We will definitely return, unless we find a vacation property here first! Thank you so much."Lynn A - Posted: 10/4/2017
The experience at the cabin was amazing! It is so beautiful up here and the air feels and smells fresher! Eeyore is adorable and we loved visiting him. We will definitely come back. Thank you!Thomas H - Posted: 9/4/2017
"Our stay was extremely relaxing! Everything was so peaceful and the cabin is so well set up. I've particularly enjoyed watching the cows as they passed by to graze. The views out here are spectacular, especially the stars at night. We certainly will be back!"Patrick J - Posted: 9/4/2017
"This farm you have is something special! Words cannot describe how much we loved staying here! For three college girls, safety was our biggest priority when choosing a place to stay and we could not have felt safer or more at home than we did at Still Rock Farms. The cabin was cozy and we could not stop looking at all the fine details your family has taken the time to put into this wonderful place. The view from the porch speaks for itself and is exactly what we were looking for! We loved seeing, hearing, and feeding the wild turkeys, the cows, and (of course) Eeyore. It took us a few days to find him but we have visited him everyday since (sometimes more than once). We absolutely love his attitude and his unique personality. Our favorite part about staying here was th eland and your family's history here! From the trails to the original cabin to the original buildings to the cemetery, we loved hiking to see each part of the land and learning about it's history. It is an experience unlike any other and really makes Still Rock Farms so unique. We just want to say thank you so so so much for making us feel so at home and for sharing this wonderful farm with us! This week has and will continue to be unforgettable! Your home has played such a large role in our experience here and we're already planning our next visit here! We hope to see y'all (and Eeyore!) again in the future. Thank you. "Wow, A truly wonderful experience. You have created a most comfortable refuge on family land that would be hard to beat. Using Carolina Mornings made the process seamless. The cabin is well constructed, with special touches and appointed features, that we only left 3 times in 6 days. The screened porch is priceless - morning and late evening found us there. The land, and the view, sealed the experience. We ""hoisted"" ourselves up the mountain and traversed most of your trails on 4 different days. That was by far the most enjoyable part. We were so blessed with a new view every 50 feet. May the living God bless your labors, and give you more divine ideas, and the strength to bring them to fruition. "Kellam N - Posted: 7/24/2017
"I am impressed with your app. It was VERY VERY useful. The whole experience from our reservations to our stay exceeded my expectations. We have been renting cabins throughout WNC for 20 years and Still Rock Farms is by far the most amazing place we have stayed. There is so much to explore here we have had a hard time leaving. We ""love"" Eeyore and go down the hill to visit him everyday. The cows are just so much fun. We learned they even graze at night! The property is amazing & huge! Kim told us it is 110 acres, we have more to explore before we leave (still need to hike to the brook and see the old cemetery). The house is perfect and so cozy. During the day we spend hours on the front porch and at night just mesmerized by the stars on the deck. The night sky is so clear with no light pollution, you can see satellites zoom by and experience lots of shooting stars. Future guests we absolutely recommend horseback riding at Sandy Bottom. Their land meets up with the farm at the top of the hill. Early in the mornings we would watch the funny antics of the wild turkeys that roam by. Harold & Kim, we can't thank you enough for your hospitality. Count on us being back but this time for 2 weeks (1 week is way too short). Visitors - how many chickens can you count in the house? There are wild blackberry bushes all over the property. Eeyore loves carrots, apples, and big hugs. Only once my daughter was able to briefly pet a cow despite all our efforts to get close. Mr. Harold said the cows in the pasture behind Eeyore love Subway bread and brought us a big bag of them. We will try later today when they come back over the hill. Staying on a working farm was the best experience! Thank you!"Yolanta G - Posted: 7/23/2017
Thank you so much for the hospitality. All the conveniences of us city folk for an amazizng stay with a view that we will always remember! Jack (our 9-year old) loved feeding the cows with Mr. Harold and us adults loved watching them roam! The hot tub was an unexpected bonus! Thanks for thinking of everything. So peaceful and relaxing! We will be back! Cheers!John & - Posted: 7/7/2017
"We had a wonderful time staying in your cabin. This was our first vacation as a family of three and our son, Levi, loved the farm. He saw cows and turkeys for the first time! Thank you for providing such a unique place to stay. Thank you for having the hot tub ready for us. A soak is just what we needed after 9 hours on the road with a toddler! "Adrienne G - Posted: 7/3/2017
"Thank you so much for sharing your house and your wonderful farm with us. Harold - thanks for the chat yesterday - it's clear how much you love what you do! The house is amazing, with so many little extra details that just put it over the top! Our 5-year old daughter loved the hot tub, as did we! This is our first trip here - we have typically been beach vacationers but this may have swayed us to continue to come to the mountains! We will definitely be back! Thanks again for sharing your property. We truly enjoyed it!"Amanda P - Posted: 7/3/2017

"We had a great stay here at the farm. You have an amazing piece of property here and we thank you for sharing it. Your cabin is very cute and comfortable. Our 4-year old enjoyed watching the cows from the windows and porch. If we return to Asheville in the future, we will come stay here for sure."Andrew P - Posted: 6/25/2017
It was wonderful to stay here. We didn't even have to leave this place all weekend long. The best part was when Mr. Harold showed up to feed the animals and let the kids feed them. He even showed us around the property and gave our son a ride on his 4-wheeler. We hope to come back.Julio T - Posted: 6/25/2017

"Thank you so much for a wonderful, relaxing weekend at the farm. My husband wanted a porch with a mountain view for his birthday and your cabin certainly delivered. We loved all the cow watching, especially seeing the babies frolic across the hill in front of the cabin. You truly have a special place here. Thank you for allowing us to share it. We are already planning a second trip. Happy Easter."Rebecca W - Posted: 6/25/2017
"Thank you so much for sharing your awesome slice of heaven with us. We enjoyed feeding the cows and the mini-donkey. Listening to him talk was a riot. The porch at night is so amazing! If our daughter attends Davidson again next year, we will be back! Thank you for your kindness! "Michelle & - Posted: 6/25/2017
