Pleasant Grove Hideaway

it was a beautiful home and the surrounding were glorious. we went while the leaves were changing and it was beautiful. Lots of hiking to do around the area. The only negative thing I will say is that the bed was hard as a rock. I know some people love that, but it was not soothing after a hard day of hiking. The hot tub was wonderful for the aches and pains though!

clean, private cabin just as described. comfortable bed, lovely kitchen/appl, great hot tub. fireplace had no pilot light but staff was very responsive and attempted to fix it, no luck, major disappointment. staff requested to come service hot tub, this should have been done prior to our stay.

The property was fantastic. We spent a week there, and it was exactly what we needed. The bed was a little firmer than we would have liked, but not a significant issue. We spent time on the covered porch just watching the rain and later in the week, soaking in the sun. The location is great. It is close to Hendersonville, Brevard, DuPont, and Pisgah. We will definitely be back in the future. One of the best properties we have stayed in.

Stayed for a weekend staycation. Great house and loved the vibe/decor! House was very clean and host was extremely responsive! Few things to note… mattresses are not comfy. This could be fixed by adding pillow topper or something similar (bedding on the bed is super comfy). Loved the fire options but if you are wanting to enjoy one outside… bring a lighter! If you are a coffee drinker make sure you bring some as well as anything you put in it. Overall a wonderful stay! Would recommend!

A beautiful place to relax! So much wildlife in the yard. Wild turkey, deer and so many beautiful butterflies. Very quiet and private. There are small trails on the property to walk and a gorgeous little creek. The house is super comfy and very nice with everything you need. My only recommendation would be adding a TV to the master bedroom and a hammock or lounge chairs. My only complaints are the tv remote volume is not working properly. It is either 100 or mute. So we really couldn’t watch any tv. We tried to extend a day and went back and forth with the management company and Airbnb for almost an hr. That was very frustrating . Each telling me I had to contact the other. But in the end, everything worked out. We loved the property and will rent again.

This is the best place to stay between Brevard and Hendersonville- it’s secluded but close to everything you want and need. The house rental even comes with activities for every day of your stay! I wouldn’t leave if I didn’t have to. The hot tub was the cherry on top- would stay again 100000/10!

The home was well appointed, and the surrounding property was amazing. Wooded, with a small stream flowing through it. Hiking trails. Very serene. Remote, yet with easy access (10-15 minutes to grocery shopping, gas, etc.). Used the hot tub every day! The home was perfect!

We really liked the property- it fit our needs for rest, relaxation, and close to Asheville, as well as really good waterfall viewing and hiking spots. Overall, we loved it! Being able to walk right out the kitchen door and step into the hot tub certainly was nice!

If you love nature, peace and quiet and getting away from it all - this is your place. Beautifully situated in a very private setting. The house was clean and had everything needed to enjoy our time here. Great hiking in Pisgah and DuPont are close by. Loved checking out Brevard while we were there. Super cute town. We’ll be back!

We had an awesome weekend stay with a group of friends while in town for mountain biking. The location was perfect—within 30 minutes of the front door we had access to incredible trails in DuPont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, and Kanuga Bike Park (great if you prefer downhill over cross-country riding). The property was pet-friendly, and our pups had a blast exploring the expansive outdoor space. The home was clean, comfortable, and a great base for our adventure-filled days. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was beautiful with a great setting. We loved all the amenities and ambiance. Everything we wanted and needed was there. The only negatives were a few broken things like a vertical blind and a kitchen cupboard door. No instructions on how to turn up the heat , but we figured it out. And finally , for some reason , we were not able to lock up the place as it had a battery powered lock that wouldn't lock. But with the neighborhood and the location of the house , we weren't concerned about somebody coming in.

The house itself was comfortable and sits on a beautiful piece of property, but our stay was frustrating. The indoor fireplace — a main reason we booked — never worked once during our 3-night visit. We reported it immediately, a technician confirmed it was broken, and it was never repaired. A review posted a week before our stay noted the same issue, meaning management but didn’t disclose it to us. We spent the majority of our trip chasing updates instead of relaxing. What was supposed to be a cozy fall weekend with our kids and dog turned into a disappointing, stressful experience. For a property at this price point, amenities should be tested and confirmed working before every new guest, especially when a previous review has already flagged a failure. While Airbnb issued a small refund, guests deserve transparency and reliability. It’s disappointing that such an important amenity wasn’t functioning as advertised.
