Mountaintop Modern

We had the most amazing time at this Modern Treehouse. From the moment we walked in, we were taken by the interior design and architectural details, the high ceilings and large windows allow natural light to flood the living room/dinning space, giving the entire house a bright, warm and inviting atmosphere. Despite the sense of being “off the grid”, the house is just a short drive away from downtown. One more thing, the views are stunning! Overall, this house exceeded our expectations, we can’t wait to come back!

Great location - quick drive to downtown with great views of downtown. It’s a comfortable home with everything you would need and a lovely outdoor space. We enjoyed being “in the trees” and watching the leaves change.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our group of 6. The private location on top of a ridge has fantastic views while being a 5-minute drive to downtown Asheville was great.

What a spectacular place! Five minutes from downtown Asheville, yet we felt like we were in the mountains. Well equipped, comfortable, beautiful views- it was more than we even hoped for. Definitely a 5 star.

Our stay at Mountaintop Modern was amazing! First off, the location can’t be beat. Mere minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown Asheville yet you feel like you are in a secluded tree top retreat nestled amongst the trees. The house itself is perfect for relaxing, it has all of the modern amenities one would need however if you are like us you will be captivated by the views and probably never switch on the tv. The house was very clean when we arrived, and the property management company was easily available for any questions we had. Honestly, the only downside was that our schedule meant we could not stay longer. We are already planning our next visit!

The views were incredible from every level of this home. We loved to sit on the deck to watch the sunset, and then move down to the firepit area once it got dark. The home was loaded with all the amenities, impeccably clean, and topped off with decor (and beds and pillows!) that made it feel like we were at a spa. We loved how close it was to downtown, but also enjoyed ordering (delivered!) food in one night to eat on the patio from one of the downtown restaurants. We were there in the summer and it felt like being in a super fancy tree house! We are excited to come back in a different season to use the really nice fireplace on the main level and see the difference in the views of downtown without all the leaves. Asheville is an amazing city and we will definitely be back and hope to stay at this home!!!

Our stay at mountaintop modern was great! We picked this one because it is so close to downtown for a multi day event. The unique design of the house left us feeling like we were close to it all yet somehow alone among the trees. We loved how the big patio doors opened up in the living room - a wooded view just for us. The beds are all very comfortable and spacious showers. Outside, the deck was great for eating dinner and sitting to watch the summer sunset. We will be back!

Mountaintop Modern was exceptionally clean, comfortable and just minutes from downtown Asheville, South Slope, and the Biltmore. High end linens and towels with a full size washer/dryer. Music system and endless lighting options are easy with apps on your smartphone. The lower level of this house has a perfect place for additional guests that want extra privacy. The view is spectacular into the city, and relaxing on the deck is a special experience. Whether Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall, one might feel like they are at a resort. Highly recommend this home for your future rental.

This amazing home has all the feel of an architectural magazine spread! Amazing light, views, proximity to the city - yet nestled in the trees like a hideaway! Very comfortable and well appointed. Would love to stay again!
