Absolutely stunning views and very comfortable furniture/beds. This home was exactly as pictured and squeaky clean. The decks and amenities were perfect for our family get away. Great location and easy to get to. Would absolutely stay here again.

We loved this house. Plenty of space for 4 friends for the weekend. We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, plenty of extra blankets for snuggling, and options outside for seating. The hot tub was lovely as well, and the house was literally 15 minutes from downtown and 8 minutes from the grocery store. Wonderful stay!

The house was very pretty & we were very comfortable. Property management was super easy to work with & sent lots of information ahead of time to make our stay easy. The driveway is a little steep, especially the first time down, but got easier after that.

Having two decks was fantastic! There’s so many different places to sit and enjoy, depending on the weather. If you need some shade, you can sit under the covered area, if you want to enjoy the hot tub there’s the whole downstairs area, we spent a lot of time outside, enjoying the beautiful view. The bedrooms were very spacious, the bathrooms were very up-to-date. The beds were comfortable, I am already looking forward to coming back!

We had a great time at this cabin! The views were amazing, the amenities were perfect for our group of 7 girls, and we had plenty of space. Everyone said beds were very comfy and the couch was perfect for large groups. The driveway was easy to deal with and there is plenty of space to safely turn the car around.

The house was an amazing mountain retreat that was only 10min from downtown Asheville! Beautiful views off the multi-layered porch, with a grill, hot tub, and stocked kitchen. Hosts were responsive and helpful! Highly recommended.

If this place is on your short list, book it now. We absolutely loved our stay here. We've been coming to Asheville for many years and this one topped all other stays. You get the feeling of seclusion with an amazing view while also being ~5 min to Fresh Market & Ingles and ~15 min to downtown Asheville. The beds were very comfy, kitchen was stocked with anything you could possibly need. The hot tub was great after long days of hiking. The patio offered several spaces to hang out and we especially liked the covered patio off the master bedroom during a downpour. The only thing that would've made this stay better was if we could've brought our dog, but we get it.

Overall, the views of this place is great! Finding the place was little tricky so pay attention to the actual address on the mailboxes vs Mapquest. Turning in and out is little difficult due to steep driveway so just be aware.

Love the expansive deck, floorplan, views of the mountains, and tranquility of the surroundings. The pillows were old - most of them so old that you could pick one up by one end and it would fold over. The towels were thin and small, and several of them smelled funny -I would describe them as sour. For such a nice house, it would be so inexpensive to upgrade those items to make a true five-star experience.

Spacious property with a gorgeous view of the hills. We enjoyed the large deck and hot tub, kitchen had everything we needed to cook or grill at home. We did not find the steep driveway to be any problem. It was quiet and peaceful but only about 15 minutes to the activity of downtown Asheville. The beds were soft, just a warning to anyone with a back problem. My family loved them. The house is so spacious! We would readily return!

The view was exactly as pictured! Very relaxing atmosphere. Perfect size for a family group of 6. We loved the hot tub and hanging out on the porch! We used some of the games/puzzles. We also saw a momma bear and two cubs from the balcony. Still always felt safe with the electric fence. The beds were very comfortable and the check-in/checkout process was super smooth! Overall the place was very clean, our only issue was that when unfolding our clean towels they smelled pretty strongly of cigarette smoke. We were able to do laundry and rewash them at the VRBO. Nobody mentioned this issue with their bedding so that was good. Wasn’t really looking to do laundry on vacation though. The dishwasher also had a slight mildew smell and one bathroom sink didn't drain. Overall was still a great family experience!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hillside Hideaway. The home was an excellent fit for 3 couples and a baby, with 2 master bedrooms on the main floor and two queen bedrooms downstairs. This place is nice and beautiful. The views from the decks are amazing and the grill is under emphasized in the listing - it's a professional grade weber grill that we were able to use for amazing steaks. Overall, the kitchen was well appointed with pans/pots/dishes/cooking utensils. The furniture was nice and comfortable. There were plenty of linens. The Peloton+ bike is a nice addition.

The house was exactly as advertised and the location is very convenient. Very comfortable, great views, great location. The multi level deck and seating areas made the space feel even larger. We spent most of our time outside. It was fun to see the wildlife that visited the yard. Our favorite was mama bear and her cubs. We hope to rent this property for our next trip to Asheville.

Our family group consisted of 4 couples and the rooms and layout were great. Nice for any who stay up late or get up earlier than the rest. We used the fireplace, fire pit and hot tub and enjoyed all the indoor and outdoor spaces. The location was great for our activities--hiking, Biltmore, dining. Couldn't have been happier!

We especially enjoyed the outdoor deck areas with full-sized dining table and covered seating areas with comfortable outdoor furniture. Although within about a short 10 minute drive to downtown, the setting was very private and quiet. Lovely view of mountain behind property. We were even lucky enough to to be entertained by a mama bear and 2 Cubs frolicking in an own area just outside of the backyard fence!!! Our only suggestion is to provide additional cooking supplies and serving utensils. While the plates, glasses, cups and eating utensils were plentiful, it was not well stocked for cooking utensils, pots and pans and serving dishes and utensils based on the number of guests. We had a group of 8 and all of us recommend this property!

"Fantastic! I was initially hesitant about booking this property due to the lack of reviews. We were not disappointed, this property had it all! The views were breathtaking, I loved feeding my one month old son on the porch while watching the sunrise. We even witnessed a Mama bear and her two cubs walking through the property!"

Excellent location!! Super close to downtown Asheville (10 mins) and amazing mountain-top views to boot. Very accommodating host. Easy and fast check in. Zero issues during stay. Will definitely stay here again :)

Stay was great and snowy. Due to the super low temperatures, the bottom two rooms were very cold, but the upstairs stayed warm. Definitely recommend parking at the top of the drive as you are not getting out of the house if snow occurs.

Love the expansive deck, floorplan, views of the mountains, and tranquility of the surroundings. The pillows were old - most of them so old that you could pick one up by one end and it would fold over. Towels were thin, small and several of them smelled funny -I would describe it as sour. For such a nice house, it would be so inexpensive to upgrade those items to make a true five-star experience.

We loved the lay out of the house and the view is fabulous. The seating areas and outdoor amenitites of the deck, hot tub, fire pit were great. Everything is as pictured. The negative: mold in the shower of the master bath, hard as a brick bed in one of the lower level bedrooms, a front door that sticks to the point that one of my daughters couldnt get into the house and then the very inconsiderate 10 am check out that they send you multi text is annoying. We did see a huge Moma bear and 3 cubs our first morning there....that was priceless!

The views in this house are spectacular. I would say the house photographs for the price point but the actual experience was not quite worth the dollar value. The house skimped on a few kitchen staples, cheap/small towels, and completely missed hot tub maintenance between guests. The pros: Beds were comfy and bedrooms well sized. Location is also great. Very comfortable seating and dining area for guests, even in winter months. The worst thing about our weekend was the experience of reporting our hot tub issue. It was resolved within 6 hours of reporting issue, but the staff was incredibly rude. Luckily a second call went better. Still, the whole thing was a significant inconvenience and disappointment in our trip.

"Nice layout and amenities. Great mountain views. Plenty of towels. Starter kits for basic goods. Great gas grill, hot hub. The road up the mountain was challenging, and that initial drive down the driveway with the blindspot was nerve-wracking, but we got used to it. Saw a bear or 3 around trash day. If you like a backyard or a walk outside, this would be tough to do. Plenty of parks around, though. The Peloton was a nice touch! Bring your Delta clips! We brought our own Roku stick for the main TV. You'll need an extension cord to be able to plug that in. All-in-all, we'd stay again. Absolutely!"

"This was the perfect place for a Lady's get away weekend. The views are spectacular and serene. The house is well appointed, super clean and very comfortable. Good location for all parts of Asheville (by car). I would definitely recommend it for medium sized groups (we had 6 ladies and 4 shared the King beds)."

This is a beautiful property with gorgeous mountain views. There was plenty of room for our family of 7. We saw lots of wildlife during our stay, including deer and a mama bear with 4 cubs. This property was within an hours drive of most of the places we wanted to see and close to great restaurants in Asheville. We enjoyed the spacious deck, the beautiful fire pit, and our grandson enjoyed the toys provided. Our main disappointment was with the cleanliness of the property. There was dusty furniture, dirty floors and rugs, a bathtub full of spiders and webs, crumbs on furniture, and a dishwasher full of dishes upon our arrival. A cleaner was sent the next day, but we needed to clean some things ourselves in order to make the house livable in the meantime. Even after the second cleaning, the house was not as clean as other rentals we have stayed at in the past.
