Deerfield/Cubs Den's location provides easy, paved access to I-26, making it a great base camp from which to enjoy activities in every direction. Downtown Asheville, NC (28 min.), the Biltmore Estate (34 min.), and the River Arts District (25 min.) are easily accessible via I-26 and linking interstates. Sample award-winning cuisine, browse unique galleries, and tour one of the many craft breweries in Asheville. Mars Hill (14 min.), home to Mars Hill University, is known for its thriving arts community and abundance of activities in the area, including mountain biking at Bailey Mountain Preserve, skiing and snowboarding at Hatley Pointe Mountain Resort, hiking the Appalachian Trail, and exploring scenic points along the Blue Ridge Parkway. For those craving outdoor excitement, zipline at sunset with Navitat Canopy Adventures in Barnardsville (25 min.), or cool off with a swim or tubing adventure at Carolina Hemlocks Recreation Area, located thirty minutes from the cabin.
