Getting Spooky in Asheville: Halloween 2017

Getting Spooky in Asheville: Halloween 2017

October has arrived in the mountains! The mornings are chilly, the days are hot, and the leaves are changing color... and we couldn't be more excited! There are so many events scheduled for October, and the cherry on top is Halloween at the end of the month. Read on for more information about a few of our favorites!
The Haunted Trail
The Haunted Trail is our favorite family friendly Halloween adventure, and we attend every year with our loved ones. The journey never ventures into the realm of gore or gratuitous violence, and because it's a self guided tour, you can pass by any sight that you deem to be too scary. Those that work the event describe it as moderately scary, but it is also considered to be appropriate for all ages.

Trick or Treat Street
Downtown Hendersonville is about as charming as it gets around here - and there is no better time to experience the delightful streets and tight knit community than around a holiday. Trick or Treating in Historic Downtown begins at 5:00 PM and to add an extra layer of fun, the town hosts a costume contest! Age categories range from infant - 3 years old, 4 - 7 years old, 8 - 11 years old, 12 - 15 years old, and 16+. Winners from each category receive an awesome prize put together by area merchants!

LaZoom's Haunted Comedy Tour
LaZoom Comedy Tours are a hill of fun no matter the season, but the Haunted Tour is by far our favorite! This event is geared toward adults, and it's sure to book up, so be sure to schedule your tour now. A super fun mixture of real ghost stories, well delivered jokes, and well practice performance art combine to create the perfect event for your late October night in Asheville.
