The quaint, one-street town of Chimney Rock is a delight to explore, from buying a local geological specimen at the Gem Mine to playing a round of miniature golf. Several restaurants, including the park's own Old Rock Café, will satisfy your appetite. Also inside the park, you'll find both the Cliff Dwellers Gift Shop and the Sky Lounge, located at the top of the Chimney Rock monolith. Local activities include fishing in the Rocky Broad River, which flows right through town, and water sports at nearby Lake Lure.
