Location Details
There's a ton of things to do when you stay at Spy Rock Cabin! The home is less than ten minutes from Maggie Valley, a Smoky Mountain destination town that's home to a handful of dining and shopping options, and with Cherokee only a half-hour away, you can spend a day exploring Native American culture or spend an evening catching a show at Harrah's Casino Resort. Get outdoors and take a journey on the Blue Ridge Parkway (access 9 miles down the road) to discover mountain hiking trails and spectacular waterfalls, walk the trail at Lake Junaluska (just down the road), or, in the winter, go skiing and snowboarding at Cataloochee Ski Area (21 min)! The ride to Asheville is smooth sailing with easy, year-round highway access. This Asheville vacation rental is located in Maggie Valley and is approximately 31 minutes to downtown Asheville, 2,809ft above sea level.

We would stay again if we were in the area.
Was a nice place and conveniently located to where we needed to be for the weekend. The beds were super comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked with lots of tools/utensils which was nice because we ate most of our meals there. The surrounding area was beautiful, just slightly noisy because the highway is close. Overall, it was a quaint retreat that our family enjoyed for the weekend. We would stay again if we were in the area.

I highly recommend this place to anybody that stays here.
This was the second time we have ever stayed at Airbnb. It was a very lovely experience both times, if we ever come back to NC we would love to book again. I highly recommend this place to anybody that stays here. This cabin was a lovely place to spend time with family.

Nice and cozy place close to everything.
Nice and cozy place close to everything. When rented last minute and we have a baby and two dogs, being a few minutes from a supermarket was awesome. Also, we tried some local restaurants that were minutes away. Plenty of trails and places to go. As they mentioned you can hear car noises because is close to the highway.

We loved the cabin! It was very clean which is always my number one concern with a short-term rental. I also loved all of the very clear instructions within the house from the helpful binder to the extensive labeling. We knew how to operate everything. The house was a great size for our two families. We loved having a couple of bedrooms downstairs and one bedroom upstairs. There was plenty of room to hang out in the living room and the porch was also a great spot to sit and relax. It was easy to access, even in a 2WD vehicle and it was close in proximity to everything Waynesville has to offer. Would definitely stay here again!

A great location for enjoying WNC and all it has to offer. The house is located close to both Waynesville & Maggie Valley which makes it perfect. The house itself was large, well appointed with everything a person could want, and had great choice TV channels for those who want to watch. Cell phone reception is great and internet provided was exceptional with no interruptions due to weather. Highly recommend this Airbnb selection.

This is a great, clean, cute cabin. The layout is good with three bedrooms all with TVs. It has a nice porch to relax on. You can hear noise from the road below but it didn’t bother us at all. We loved that the cabin was right off a major road which made it easy to get around.

"What a lovely, cozy spot this is! We had originally booked it for our honeymoon in March, but that got disrupted - thank you COVID. We decided to turn it into a family vacation instead and it was just perfect for that. We loved the view off of the balcony, and the spacious rooms. Really liked the outside table. Thank you for opening this up to us and for making it so comfortable to live in. It felt like we were staying in someone's home, instead of a rental, and I mean that as the highest of compliments. We made a lot of wonderful memories here, and we hope to return in the future."

"In selecting a place to stay, I'm picky. The beds and living room chairs have to look comfortable. The bathrooms have to be ultra clean. The kitchen has to be well stocked. There has to be a nice outside area (porch, whatever). There also has to be some good reviews on the place too. Spy Rock Cabin filled all these requirements and then some. It is a lovely place to stay. We were there for a week's vacation during COVID-19 and felt perfectly safe there. Everything was up to (or exceeded) my picky standards. Thank you for a great vacation. The place was great. "

The space is extremely convenient and easy to get to. It feels very modern and the smart TV is a wonderful touch. We also loved the covered deck with seating and the ability to relax there or in the nice backyard with the firepit. Altogether it was a good experience and we would stay there again.
