This two-story cabin features an open-concept living area with a stone hearth and comfy furnishings for kicking back after a day full of adventures. Showcasing the dramatic natural beauty of Western North Carolina, Hickory Nut Gorge, and Lake Lure are popular destinations for a myriad of recreational activities such as boating, golfing, biking, rock climbing, and hiking. Nearby Chimney Rock State Park is a 1,000-acre scenic attraction with dozens of trails and the spectacular 400-foot-high Hickory Nut Falls. Delight in trying the local restaurants, plus there are many varied shops to browse. The cities of Asheville and Hendersonville are both great places to visit for fine dining, shopping, and evening entertainment. This Asheville vacation rental is located in Lake Lure and is approximately 1 hour from downtown Asheville; 1,015ft above sea level.

Important Property Notes
• VIP: Please be aware that you must complete the waiver of liability for Lake Lure as well as an additional Water Waiver to stay at this property. If these forms are not completed within 24 hours of the Vacation Rental Addendum being signed, your reservation shall be canceled, thank you.
• Long Family Hideaway resides in a community that enforces a strict street-parking policy. Please note, there is only space for 2 normal-sized vehicles to park in the designated gravel parking area. Once you arrive, please be prepared to descend a series of 25 steps from the parking area to the main entrance of the home. Easy-to-carry luggage is strongly suggested.
• This property is pet friendly, allowing one dog per reservation.
• The kitchen at Long Family Hideaway is fully equipped, however, it should be noted that the home does not have a dishwasher. Additionally, Seasonal Gas Fireplaces are not operational between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
• 4WD/AWD Recommended in Winter
During the winter months and inclement weather, a 4WD/AWD vehicle is recommended to access this property.
• Travel Insurance Recommended
During the winter months, we ask you to please consider CSA Travel Insurance to protect your vacation investment from potential winter weather events that could prevent access to the home.


Property Cancellation Policy
Please note that this property’s Non-Refundable Period is 30 days prior to arrival. If your reservation is made within this period, it will be non-refundable from the time of booking. Cancellations are permitted outside of this period, per our vacation rental agreement. We encourage you to consider travel insurance to help protect your vacation investment against the unknown!
