Visiting the Biltmore Estate: February Events

February Events at the Biltmore Estate
Ah, February! The month of romance, of chocolate, of champagne. We at Carolina Mornings positively love the month of February and all of its grand gestures of love. Though there infinite ways to experience the charming romance of this second month of the year, one of the very best ways in this area is to head over to the Biltmore Estate to revel in the beautifully designed events that they've planned for the public. Read on to learn about a few that have us most excited!

Wine and Roses Dinner Dance: Saturday, February 13th from 6:30 PM - 11:00 PM
This wonderful Valentine's Day Weekend event will take place at the charming Deerpark Restaurant on the Estate. Bring someone special to experience the beauty of a romantic evening at the Biltmore Estate. The evening will begin with a reception, followed by a four-course dinner (including a bottle of Estate wine per table!), and a sumptuous dessert. A live band will serenade you until about 11:00 PM.

Orchid Talks: Now Through March 18th, 2016
This complimentary talk about the stunning winter orchid collection spans about 45 minutes and takes place in the Conservatory. Capacity is limited to 15 guests daily, so not only will this event be quite intimate, it also required reservations in advance.

Fashionable Romance: Wedding Gowns in Film: February 12th Through July 4th
This special exhibition will feature wedding gowns and attire from major motion pictures, including Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Out of Africa. The display will be spread throughout the home, so visitors will be able to take it all in as they complete a tour of the mansion. As an added bonus, special mementos will be on display from the Vanderbilt and Cecil family weddings!

Stay Local
As always, staying local is the best way for visitors to experience the full glory of our area amenities. Perhaps the most romantic way to spend the holiday weekend is actually to wake up in a beautifully appointed Carolina Mornings vacation rental. For a larger group, Mountain Aerie is a wonderful home-base! Located in Scenic Wolf, about 40 minutes from Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate, Mountain Aerie offers its guests absolutely unmatched long-range views of the mountains and valleys in the distance. It also boasts a fully equipped kitchen, a game room, a private hot tub, and comfortable, stately bedroom.

To begin planning your romantic getaway in the mountains, contact Carolina Mornings at 877-902-9441.
