The Mother Earth News Fair 
The Mother Earth News Fair is a much anticipated event here in the mountains of Western North Carolina and it's scheduled to return April 9th through 10th of this year, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturday and from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday. Information, Education, and Hand-Made Wares are in abundance at this enormous event that sprawls across the WNC Agriculture Center in Fletcher (adjacent to the Asheville Airport). An astounding 15,000 people are expected to attend the fair and it is by far the largest information exchange that the Asheville area will see all year. The Mother Earth News Fair is a family-oriented event that features about 200 hands-on demos and workshops. The information provided is centered mainly on green living practices, renewable energy, small scale agriculture, and natural health. Attendees at this event can walk away with information, ideas, foods and beverages, magazines and books, and fond memories of being surrounded by like minded, passionate people that create the life they want to live. How to Get There
To get to the WNC Agriculture Center from Asheville, take I-26 East to Exit 40. Turn Right off of the ramp onto Airport Road. Make a Left at the first stop light past the Asheville Airport onto Fanning Bridge Road to enter Gate 1. For Gates 6 and 7, continue on Airport Road for just a bit longer. To get there from the Hendersonville area, take I-26 West to Exit 40, then follow the same directions off of the ramp.
