Mardi Gras Asheville Style

Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez

Let the good times roll at Asheville’s 8th annual Fun-For-All-Ages Mardi Gras Parade held (rain or shine) on Sunday February 15th, 2015.  The parade begins at 3pm downtown near Wall Street. This event is a great way to get out in the winter air and warm up with dancing and bead catching. This year's king and queen atop their float start off the parade and are followed by various dancers, krewes, drummers and other colorful characters  all of whom make their way down the road, celebrating all the way.

This fun-filled event is run by an all-volunteer community based organization that works year around to put on this great celebration. The festivities don’t end at the parade's end. After the floats have passed, follow the fun to Pack’s Tavern for the Queen’s Ball which runs from 5pm to 10pm. Both events are free to the public and are completely family-friendly.
