Five generations later, Hickory Nut Gap provides the communities of Western North Carolina with fresh, responsibly produced goods that nurture both the body and spirit. More than just a source of nutritional goodness, Hickory Nut Gap Farm has become a kind of community center as well, with fun-for-the-whole-family seasonal activities. Enjoy the Ride
Of course Western North Carolina is famous for the Blue Ridge Parkway, but once you're in the area, you'll realize that almost every single road has its own unique beauty. The roads at this time of year are best taken slowly, not only because it's the best time of year for a relaxing drive, but because the slower you go, the more you'll notice. The maples are exploding in vivid color, the tulip poplars are dropping their lovely mottled leaves, the wildflowers are going out with a bang, never a whimper. Romance and serenity are all around us, just waiting to be enjoyed. Trust us - the more you slow down and look around, the more you'll enjoy the season!
