The Howl-O-Ween Walkathon
Brother Wolf, one of Asheville’s most dedicated and compassionate animal shelters, is hosting it’s first ever Howl-O-Ween Walkathon at Carrier Park in Asheville. Humans and four-legged best friends dress up in an awesome Halloween costume, get sponsorship from their pals, and walk walk walk. Proceeds help raise funds for Brother Wolf to continue giving homeless animals the love, care, and support that they need! Stick around for the Fall Festival with food, beer, family friendly activities, trick-or-treating, music, and costume contests!
Howl-O-Ween at the WNC Nature Center
Yes, that’s right - same name.. but different event! The Howl-O-Ween event at the Nature Center takes place this year on October 24th and it will be a fantastic time for all! Spooky arts and crafts, super fun games, face painting, a hay maze, yummy snacks and refreshments are all par for the course at this family friendly event. Don’t forget to dress your best - the costume contest commences at 5:00 PM!
Trick-or-Treating in Asheville
The Montford neighborhood in downtown Asheville has long been a favorite area for families looking to trick, to treat, and to show off their costumes. Many of the homes will be decorated to the max in celebration of the spooky season. The neighborhoods of West Asheville are also a family-friendly trick-or-treating hot spot! Hundreds of kids with their families will be out making the rounds.
