Event Watch: Spending Holiday Season in the Mountains

Event Watch: Spending Holiday Season in the Mountains

The holiday season is upon us, and we at Carolina Mornings are giddy with excitement! Spending the late fall and winter in the mountains is one of the best ways to experience true serenity, and to help you get there, we've put a spotlight on a few of our favorite seasonal activities.

Visit the Biltmore Estate
During the holiday season, The Biltmore Estate is alive with the festive spirit. Strolling the manicured trails is a wonderful way to wile away the afternoon hours, while a stop into one of the many award winning restaurants on the Estate is always a rewarding experience. During the cold season, the house itself is the true centerpiece, and whether you're looking to tour during daylight hours, or after dark for the Candlelight Evening Tour, you'll find yourself in awe of the impressive decorations and joyous mood.

Take a Scenic Drive
Late fall is a spectrum of magnificent color in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and while we love a rousing hike through the National Forests, we have a special affinity for winding along any number of the scenic byways criss-crossing our corner of the state. Whether you're in a car or on a motorcycle, driving our parkways is an experience like no other. In fact, we love it so much, we created our own Scenic Drive Guide - just to share the joy!
