The LAAF Festival Returns to Downtown Asheville!
Labor Day Weekend is fast approaching, and we're delighted to announce that after taking a year off, the Living Asheville Arts Festival (LAAF) is back with another year of street-fair fun! On Sunday, September 3rd, three blocks of North Lexington Avenue will be devoted to art, music, and community fun. The event is a hill of fun, and it will run from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Read on for more information about this super fun festival!
What to Expect
LAAF Festival is a totally free event that centers around local art, street performers, music, food and beer. It is at heart a community event, and as the largest independent street fair in the Southeast, it seeks to promote and uplift the idea that a community built of unique and eclectic folks can create beauty and fun from the ground up.
Three stages of music will feature all local musicians, ranging in genre from Rock & Roll to Funk, from Raggae to Blue Grass. Vaudeville performers, hula hoopers, circus art performers and more will share the stage, making this one of the most entertaining of our local festivals. The festival is also green-focused and sustainable - in every way mirroring the unique culture of Asheville and its surrounding communities.
