It takes place January 22nd-January 25th and is a fantastic way to check out some amazing performance art - actors, puppeteers, modern dancers, monologists, musicians, poets and other stage performers. Held over four days and at multiple venues throughout the area, this definitely a is a not-to-be-missed event.
The Biltmore in Winter
America’s largest home, the Biltmore, is also Asheville’s largest tourist attraction and with good reason. The beautiful 8,000 acre estate, built by George Vanderbilt in the late 1800s, stands out today as one of the predominant examples of architecture in the Gilded age. Spend the day exploring the mansion and it's beautiful grounds and make sure to set aside some time to check out Antler Village and the Biltmore Winery as well.
If you or your travel companions are fans of the PBS hit, Downton Abbey, make plans to visit the Biltmore for Dressing Downton. This exhibition runs February 5th through May 25th and will include over 40 costumes from the series displayed throughout the house. The costumes are grouped throughout the mansion in a fashion that is inspired by both the TV show and life at the Biltmore.

Pints of WinterDrink in some of the best craft beer around the 8th annual Winter Warmer Beer Festival. This is a full day filled with music, food and lots of beer! Held on the main level of the civic center, this event is an annual sell-out so get your tickets in advance.
