Start your visit with a stop at Antler Hill Village. There, you can learn about the history of the estate at The Biltmore Legacy, visit the Farm Yard, and check out the Outdoor Adventure Area. Looking for a little bonus fun? You can reserve time to experience all sorts of outdoor activities, including sporting clays, horseback riding, biking and even a Land Rover Driving Experience.
Cedric's for Lunch
After you've worked up an appetite at Antler Hill Village, grab a bite to eat at Cedric's Tavern. Reminiscent of an old British Pub, Cedric's (named for George Vanderbilt's dog) is a great place to dine before moving on to the highlight of the estate.
Inside the Largest Home in the U.S.
As you approach the Biltmore House, take a mental picture of the whole scene: an unbelievably large home surrounded by stately gardens and set against the backdrop of the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. If you are traveling with children, make sure to get the special audio tour for kids narrated by Cedric the dog! Additional tours of the house include the Architect's Tour, the Butler's Tour, and the Vanderbilt Friends and Family Tour. You can even hire an expert exclusively for you and yours if you want to take the tour with a private guide.
The Biltmore Gardens
Spend a few minutes (or hours!) checking out the amazing gardens adjacent to the house. Created by renowned landscape artist, Frederick Olmsted, these gardens are truly works of art in nature. Beautiful Italian reflection ponds, sculptures, rose gardens, the azalea garden, and the walled garden are all not to be missed!
Take on the Night At Strada
Make your way back downtown and check out a local favorite for dinner. Strada Italiano focuses on fresh, quality ingredients to create a menu of traditional Italian, homemade family recipes. Favorites include Grilled Tuscan Duck, Lasagne Vegetali, and a variety of pizzas.
