This beautiful, three-level Arts and Crafts style log cabin is located up a paved driveway on a ridge 300 yards above the Blue Ridge Parkway and only five miles from the BILTMORE ESTATE or downtown Asheville. Take a walk down Lady Slipper Lane directly behind ELKHORN CABIN, hike to the Mountain to Sea Trail from the cabin, and conveniently drive to local Asheville galleries, antique shops, and restaurants. Or view spectacular sunsets and visit the artist/owner's nearby home and Soli Deo Gloria Studio. The mountain-laurel stairway, slate tiling, beautiful oriental rugs, and the many fine Craftsman details truly make ELKHORN CABIN a work of art. The restful sounds of a fountain and the redwood sauna (steam optional) will truly RESTORE YOUR SOUL. The cabin has three levels of sleeping, two-and-a-half baths, and a fully equipped kitchen. The main level has a queen bedroom and full bathroom. The private loft has a king bed, twin bed, and half bath. On the lower level, there is a queen sleeper sofa, twin bunk-beds, and full bathroom. You have the option of indoor dining or screened-in outdoor dining. The loft has a TV lounge, and the daylight basement has a big-screen TV, ping-pong table, and game area. And if you can't leave your work at home, the Elkhorn Cabin has high speed Internet access, both wireless and ethernet. Elkhorn Cabin is named after Sons of the (Elkhorn) River by owner Norm Bomer and recognizes the recent reintroduction of elk into Great Smoky Mountain National Park west of Asheville. And if you need additional space Eagle's Wing Lodge is steps away, so you can expand your invitation list. This Asheville vacation rental is located in Asheville and is approximately 7 minutes driving distance to downtown.

"When staying at B&B's we expected to engage with the household owners, but did not expect this at our cabin, even knowing the owners lived across the way. They were helpful, offering an extra tablecloth for an outside table to make our Thanksgiving table the perfect size, and gracious. The cabin was beautifully and artfully appointed and couldn't have been more cozy. It was our first family get-together in a year and a half and we all relished conversation around the warm fire in the living room, which warmed the entire floor and loft! We are all basking in our wonderful memories of Elkhorn Cabin."
