Traditional Crafts and Music in Appalachia photographs in Asheville, NC through October 10

Hands in Harmony is a photographic journey of traditional Appalachian crafts and music, drawn from Tim Barnwell's 30+ years of experience in North Carolina. Barnwell captures the history and beauty of some well- known musicians and crafters of old- time Appalachia as well as some not- so- well- known. The Appalachian region draws people to the mountain traditions and folklore, steeped in traditions from around the world and transformed into it's mountain roots. The exhibit is displayed in the Asheville Art Museum through October 10, 2010, and the museum always has other great exhibits you can peruse as well.
