Top 3 Fido Friendly Activities in Asheville

Top 3 Fido Friendly Activities in Asheville

We're coming into the spring season here in Western North Carolina and that means heading outside to enjoy the colors, the scents, the sweet, warm breeze and the big, hot sun. If you're like us, a beautiful spring day simply isn't complete with your four legged best friend. To help you plan for your full family trip to the mountains, we've spotlighted three of our absolute favorite pet friendly activities in Asheville. Read on to learn more!

Head to the French Broad River Park
French Broad River Park over in the River Arts District is one of our favorite places to take our four legged best friends. Not only is it well maintained and full of social, friendly pups, but it's right along the river - making this a park that humans can fully enjoy too! Manicured trails wind through the park, flowers bloom along the water's edge, and dogs of all shapes and sizes frolic in the large fenced in area in the middle.

Have Fun at The Wedge
There are so many dog friendly breweries in the Asheville area, and though it would be impossible for us to pick a favorite, The Wedge does stand out as somewhere ultra special. Not only is the beer perfectly balanced, the outdoor area is alive with laughter as locals and visitors alike come to socialize, enjoy the company of like minded folk, sample the delicious goods from the rotating food truck on site, and have doggy play dates in the large open area. Oh, and to add the cherry on top - there is a "Corn Hole" court just outside the tap room!

Hit the Trails
Folks travel from all over the country to experience the magic of our pristine National Forests. Hundreds of miles of trails wind through the woods and, honestly, it's impossible to be bored by the stunning visuals that our landscape provides. Many of our trails are dog friendly, and though the leash laws are fully in effect, we know that you'll find yourselves having the time of your life with your precious fur babies!
