Getting Cozy in the Coffee Shops of Asheville
Winter is the best season for enjoying the warm and toasty environment of a local coffee shop and luckily, Asheville is graced with dozens of amazing shops! We just love the smell of a cafe, the steam rising from a hot cup, a mouth watering pastry just waiting for our attention and we just bet you do too! Read on for some suggestions on where to get a good Cup O' Joe in our fine mountain town.
Old Europe offers its patrons all the best parts about an old world bakery - a glass case full of delectable treats, delicious, strong coffee beverages, friendly and busy bakers, and a strong community of people all looking for a comforting treat. By many accounts, this is the finest bakery in Asheville... while we don't play favorites, we do agree that this spot is out of this world and worthy of a visit!
Oh, the classic combination of coffee and doughnuts - we never tire of it! Luckily, Asheville is home to several gourmet doughnut shops. Hole Doughnuts is one of our favorites - not just because of the delicious, yeasty doughnuts that they serve, but also because of the phenomenal coffee and fantastic location. Situated right in the heart of West Asheville, this spot is a must for locals and visitors alike.
Okay, so Dobra isn't exactly a coffee cafe - but it is a fantastic stop for a spot of tea! An enormous menu of tea selections, comfortable seating, lovely decorations, and friendly faces will greet you in this Lexington Ave hot spot. This is a great spot for groups of friends to visit and chat over a cuppa. We definitely recommend visiting at least once!
World Coffee Cafe
World Coffee Cafe is a stellar spot for relaxing and sipping and munching on some great treats. We love the location of this cafe - right in the heart of Downtown Asheville and just a skip away from The Grove Arcade. Stop in here on your way to explore the historic streets of our awesome town and try a pastry while you're at it!
Our favorite way to explore a new place is to pretend to be a local. We think that's the best way to really get the feel of a new environment. The best way to live like a local in Asheville is to stay in a Carolina Mornings Vacation Rental. With dozens from which to choose, the right home is most certainly waiting to be discovered by you. Traveling to the area with a larger group? Check out Dreams of Pisgah - a 5 bedroom stunner located in surrounding Asheville. With 5,000 square feet to kick back and relax, this home will be the icing on the cake of your vacation. Best of all, the pet friendly policy means that the entire family - four legged members included - can enjoy the Estate!
