The 19th Annual Brewgrass Festival
The Brewgrass Festival Returns!
Asheville is passionate about it’s local beer - so much so that we create year round events meant to highlight both the love and the craft of our brewmasters. The original Asheville Beer Fest, Brewgrass, returns to Memorial Stadium for the 19th year on September 19th, 2015. We’ve put together a short introduction this is fantastic event below.
The Brewgrass Festival is Western North Carolina’s original Craft Beer Festival. Founded in 1996, Brewgrass seeks to unite beer lovers with that sweet flowing nectar that Ashevilleans are so talented at brewing. The Festival showcases some of the most in-demand and cutting edge brewers in the region and attendees will more than likely leave a bit dazed by all the creativity, the delicious flavors, and the romping good time had by all. This year, the Jeff Austin Band, BIG DADDY LOVE, and Packway Handle Band will be dominating the stage while more than 50 breweries provide samples of a diverse assortment of both national and regional craft beers.
The Brewgrass Festival is planned for Saturday, September 19th. Tickets are $55.00 for general admission, though a limited amount of VIP passes will be available for the early birds for $150.00. If your heart is set on going to the festival, be sure to visit the event website soon to purchase your tickets - it’s normal for the tickets to sell out within two days of going on sale!
A portion of all proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of WNC.
Attending the Brewgrass Festival is equivalent to signing up for a guaranteed romping good time! It’s about more than drinking - in fact, no alcohol will be for sale or permitted to leave the event - it’s about local craft traditions, community, conversation, and education. Festival goers can expect to meet some truly fantastic people, become introduced to some excellent and responsible companies, and leave with a better knowledge of Appalachia and its long standing traditions of brewing.
