Summertime Visits to the Biltmore Estate

Visiting the Biltmore in Summer 2015

There are so many wonderful draws to the Biltmore Estate during the summer months - the sweet scent of the early blooming roses drifting through the air, the beautiful blue sky stretching overhead - these and so many more treasures make a visit to the Biltmore a summertime must!  To keep you up to date on the seasonal changes that take place at the Estate, the Carolina Mornings Team has put together a short news brief regarding all of the things we’re most excited about!

Summertime Blooms

The roses are in full bloom at the Biltmore Estate and the sweet, intoxicating smell of the blossoms fill the air around the conservatory.  Large, trained bushes - some almost 100 years old - climb trellises, forming romantic nooks for sweethearts.  An explosion of color, size, and scent, the rose garden at the Biltmore will take your breath away.

Biltmore House Summer Route

Perhaps of particular interest for those who have previously visited the house, the Biltmore House Tour has an alternative route for the summer months!  Rather than visiting the south facing upper level rooms, guests will now have access to the 3rd floor Living Hall and Artist Suite which includes the Watson, Van Syke, Morland and Madonna Rooms - previously closed off to tour goers. Temporarily cut from the tour are the Louis XV Suite of rooms.

Live After Five

The Live after Five event at Antler Village is an all summer event that will take place every Friday and Saturday from 1:00PM - 7:00PM.  Local Crafter Demos will be the focal point of the upcoming events, allowing guests to not only meet local crafters but also observe them create a stunning array of unique items.  Items will also be available for purchase.  Crafts included are jewelry, bath products, hand blown glass, baskets, pottery, and so much more!

Biltmore Busy Days

The Biltmore Estate is a busy local attraction all year, and most particularly during the summer months.  The Following days in June and July will be considered "Biltmore Busy Days” and a reservation for touring the house will be required.

June:  6, 13, 20, 21, 27

July:  3, 4, 5, 11, 18, 25
