'Tis The Season in Waynesville, NC
Waynesville, NC is one of the best hidden gems in Western North Carolina. A small yet charming town tucked into the mountains, Waynesville boasts a thriving local economy and a strong community of caring, thoughtful individuals. Staying in a Vacation Home in Waynesville or its neighboring town of Maggie Valley, NC can be an enormously rewarding endeavor - particularly at this joyous time of year! Read on to learn about some holiday events scheduled for December.

December 4th to December 7th: Holly Days
Holly Days is an annual Holiday Festival that takes place along the Main Street in Downtown Waynesville. The Festival begins with Art in the Dark on Friday, December 4th. Seasonal events throughout the weekend keep the festival moving along and the spirits high. A Christmas parade on Monday, December 7th, at 6:00 PM closes out the event.

December 7th: Waynesville Christmas Parade
The December 7th Christmas Parade closes out the fun filled Holly Days weekend, but really it is an event unto itself. The 2015 theme is Joy to The World and the entire community has come together to create an amazing event that will begin at Walnut and Main before proceeding south down Main, and coming to an end at the intersection of Haywood and Main.

December 12th: "A Night Before Christmas"
This event on December 12th in Downtown Waynesville is another annual tradition for this charming mountain community. Live music, caroling, Bethlehem Market Place, a live Nativity, old fashioned wagon rides, Santa, and so much more will be at the heart of this event. Best of all, the shops, galleries and restaurants of Downtown Waynesville will remain open during the event, so bring the family to support local shops!
