Pub and Grub Crawl: A Black Mountain Event

The Pub and Grub Crawl in Black Mountain, NC

It's that time of year for the Pub and Grub Crawl in Black Mountain, NC! We've written before about the fabulous tours offered by Creative Mountain Food Tours, and one of our absolute favorites is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 17th - just 2 weeks from now! To better acquaint those of you who have yet to experience the Black Mountain fun, we've put together a small list of frequently asked questions.

1.  When Is It?
Now that the summer has begun in earnest, the Pub and Grub Crawl will be taking place every two weeks on Friday afternoons. The next is scheduled to take place on July 17th from 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM. It is the best way to start your weekend off properly and a great way to experience a lot of Black Mountain in a short amount of time.

2.  What Can I Expect?
Participants can expect to leave satiated! The tour will hit 5 to 6 representing pubs and restaurants and at each stop, tour goers will sample local brews, local ciders, and local wines paired with delicious snacks prepared with love by local culinary geniuses. A trip around one of the area's best small towns wouldn't be complete without some local history quips and trivia, so guests can also expect to learn some fun facts!

3.  Can I Still Buy Tickets?
Absolutely! Tickets can be purchased here. There is, however, no wait list - tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis so be sure to arrange your tour ahead of time. It's also wise to call ahead to get a better idea of which restaurants will be featured on the tour of your choice - restaurants are subject to change and may not be available for every tour.

4.  Would Children Enjoy It?
Creative Mountain Food Tours hosts some awesome tours that your kids will love, but this one in particular is not geared toward children. Alternative beverages will be provided for those not interested in drinking and for those under 21, and the food will still be sumptuous and delectable, but part of the glory of this tour is how much thought is put into the local brew pairings.

Although this is one of the most dog friendly towns you're ever likely to find, pups are not able to come on the Pub and Grub Crawl. If they're anything like the Carolina Mornings dogs, they'll love the leftovers that you bring home!
**If you have a certified service dog, Creative Mountain Food Tours asks that you just call and give them a heads up so that they can fully prepare to meet your best friend.

6.  What If I Have Food Allergies?
Easy! Just call the tour ahead of time and let them know what your allergies and restrictions entail. The participating restaurants will do everything in their power to make sure that you still receive the full experience.

Relax and soak in the good life at Black Bear Cabin7.  Can I Stay Nearby?
We thought you'd never ask! Carolina Mornings has dozens of beautiful vacation rentals in and around the Asheville area and our Black Mountain homes are simply divine! Smaller groups will fall in love with Black Bear Cabin - a 2 bedroom, pet friendly home nestled on the outskirts of the town. The rushing creek nearby will lull you into a peaceful state of mind, while the two person hot tub on the deck will make for perfect stargazing.
