Find Your Inner Peace at Still Rock Farms

Find Your Inner Peace at Still Rock Farms

Looking to experience the rural, farming side of Western North Carolina not often given the attention it deserves? Plan a stay at Still Rock Farms - one of the newest additions to the Carolina Mornings program! A working farm located in pristine Madison County, Still Rock Farms offers its guests the opportunity to see how a generations-old piece of land is worked, loved, and taken care of.

Your vacation begins as you enter Madison County - known around here as "The Jewel of the Blue Ridge Mountains". Rolling hills, lush tree canopies, the French Broad River - these are the parts that make up the parcel in this stunning county that borders both Tennessee and Asheville's Buncombe County. By the time you reach the property border of Still Rock Farms, you'll have fallen head over heels in love with the landscape. But your dream of a vacation has only just begun!

The two bedroom cabin, your home for the length of your stay in WNC, is bright, cozy, and newly built. The interior is comfortably decorated and perfectly suited to relaxing in the early morning hours with coffee and a good book. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to create sumptuous, vacation worthy meals. And as the sun rises higher and higher in the sky, the gorgeous countryside will begin working its magic on you - pulling you outdoors to enjoy the huge sky overhead and the pastures stretching into the distance.

If you can bring yourself to leave the tranquility of the Estate, a whole host of tremendous activities await you in Marshall and the larger community of Asheville. Head over to Sandy Bottom Trail Rides to experience the landscape from horseback, or drive over to Historic Downtown Marshall for a bite to eat, a well crafted coffee, and a reminder of what life was like before the hustle and bustle of the modern age. Asheville, where you'll find such area attractions as the River Arts District and the Biltmore Estate, is just a 30 minute drive away.

Returning to Still Rock Farms at the end of a long day of exploring the area will be like the icing on the best cake ever. Traveling up the long private drive, past the grazing cattle and among the hills rising up out of the pasture, you'll feel like you've finally made it home. As the evening falls over the Estate and the stars start blinking into view, you'll realize that the only thing better than sitting on the porch with a cup of tea is knowing that when the sun rises the next day, you can do it all over again!
