Spring Shows at the North Carolina Arboretum
The North Carolina Arboretum is one of our most cherished area resources - a 434 acre public garden located in Pisgah National Forest, the NC Arboretum offers locals and visitors alike an escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy modern world, educational resources, hiking and biking trails, and so much more. While there are events staged at the NC Arboretum all year round, the Spring sees some truly magnificent presentations. Read on for an introduction to 3 upcoming events!
Asheville Orchid Festival, March 25th - 26th
Every year, the WNC Orchid Society puts on a truly stunning display of orchids at the NC Arboretum, and we look forward all year to heading over there with our loved ones to enjoy the show. Professionals will be on site to talk orchids, answer questions, provide demos, and more!
Rhododendron and Azalea Flower Show, April 29th - 30th
This weekend event in April is great for home gardeners looking to gather some information, education, and responsibly sourced plants for their private landscapes. Make a full day out of it by heading over early with the family to tour the native Azalea collection along Bent Creek!
Rose Exhibition Show, May 27th- 28th
Another annual event at the NC Arboretum, the Rose Exhibition Show is a local favorite! Put on by the Asheville-Blue Ridge Rose Society, this show will look as beautiful as it smells. Experts will be on site to answer questions, educate, and show off award winning roses of every color and size.
