Event Watch: NC Apple Festival!

Event Watch: NC Apple Festival!

Labor Day Weekend is fast approaching and that means Western North Carolina is gearing up for a ton of early fall festivals! One of our absolute favorite events, the NC Apple Festival, is scheduled to take place in Historic Downtown Hendersonville over the weekend of September 1st - 4th, and trust us - this is not an event to miss! Read on for more information about this 4 day celebration of all things apple!

Where and When
The NC Apple Festival is a Downtown Hendersonville event. As our Western North Carolina apple epicenter, Hendersonville is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike during the apple harvest season. Dozens of farms dot the countryside and thousands of folks walk the orchards every year, taking in the beauty and taking home the goods. From 10 AM to 8 PM, Friday, September 1st through Sunday, September 3rd, 8 blocks of Main Street will be alive with the scent of cider donuts and the sounds of pure joy. The event closes out with a Labor Day celebration on Monday, September 4th, from 10 AM to 2:30 PM. Known locally as the King Apple Parade, Monday's celebration is all about community, fun, and of course - apples.

To get to Hendersonville from Downtown Asheville, follow I-26 to Exit 49 for Hendersonville/Highway 64 W. 64 W will bring you right into Historic Downtown. While you're enjoying the festival, be sure to stop into the local boutiques, shops, and restaurants to experience a taste of true small town charm!
