Event Watch: Asheville Restaurant Week

Asheville Restaurant Week

Asheville Restaurant Week is fast approaching and we're giddy about what this means for our taste buds! The culinary wizards of Asheville are the best in the Southeast and Asheville Restaurant Week is the time of year when we prove it. This year's event will span from January 17th to the 26th. Visitors and locals alike should mark their calendars and plan their itineraries for this excellent opportunity to sample meals from the finest restaurants in the area.

What it is
Asheville Restaurant Week is a week in the middle of January when the local restaurants become even more accessible to foodies looking to experience new taste sensations. Dozens of participating restaurants offer tremendous prix fix meals for very affordable prices, making this a fantastic week to visit the mountains.

Participants
Many of the best restaurants in Asheville take part in this event. Indeed, with so many amazing options from which to choose, planning an itinerary can be a bit overwhelming. To help make it easier, The Carolina Mornings Team got together to create a few suggestions for those interested in exploring like a true foodie.

A Casual Affair
For lunch, head over to White Duck Taco for the two course lunch for just $15! We suggest exploring the rest of Downtown Asheville afterwards to work up an appetite for round two at Lexington Ave Brewery (LAB), where they're offering a thoughtfully crafted dinner for two for just $30.

An Event to Remember
Head over to Rhubarb in the heart of Downtown Asheville for the $15 two course lunch - you'll love the buskers playing their hearts out just outside the door! For dinner, cruise over to the West Side to experience the three course meal offered at Buffalo Nickel for just $30.

An All New Experience
Pack a light lunch with local goods from Greenlife before heading up to hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway. After you've worked up an appetite, head over to Golden Fleece for a rustic meal in an artistic space - like a true Ashevillean!
